Why do women like the bad boys?

I was just wondering why women fall for bad boys? They'll never go anywhere in life. They will most likely cheat on the women, or abuse them in some way. I've seen a few women look right over the nice guy, fall for a bad boy then wonder why they got hurt.
In my opinion and from what I've seen women go for the bad boys but men don't go for the bad girls. Bad boys are cool, but bad women are considered trampy.
I am kind of speaking form personal experiance. Most of my female friends have gone for the bad boy type at one point or another, then come crying to me when they get hurt or he cheats on them.
What's your take on this ladies or men too, what do you think. Am I nuts or what?

ok heres the thing with bad boys. they have a unspoken confidence that you just get sucked into. they know they are good looking and they know they are good in bed, women go for them because its something new and exciting. dangerous with out going over the line of breaking the law. women know theyll get hurt but for the time being it doesnt matter because all they are feeling is that they(women) finally landed a bad boy, and for a short time feel better than they ever have because her confidence just went through the roof. she will be happy for a while blinded by the happiness until she finally realises that her man didnt get good in bed by being with just one girl. her hopes fade and her fears arise with little time to spare and then her wonderful world comes crashing down all at once, just because she had to have the danger and excitment of "the bad boy"

That's a very good explaination of it. Now, if women would just wise up and go for the nice guy first. lol

I know what you mean. I have certainly had my share of bad boys...and they don't change. I think it is the intrique and danger..and maybe we feel like we can change them...right! Then there is the looks...most bad boys are good looking and they know it..so they use that to thier advantage....they have you and they know it.
