if my dad gave me 5$ sometimes $15 i buy anything i want in school, im just curious about the things i saw, whether it is a food, i want to taste it so buy it, a new collection items, i buy it again, i just want to spend my money, i did not save it in the bank, i am not wise when it comes to money, maybe because im still young, im not thinking about my future, though my parents tell this to me, to save money.

I think its a wise decision if you decide to save up and ignore temptations. While its good to buy what you need, buying things out of curiosity can be a bad habit, and can make you into a spendthrift.
You should try your best to keep a % of your allowance and save up and buy something you really need - that would make both you and your parents happy. Moreover, it could help when your parents or friends birthdays come. Thinking of others is just as important in life - especially those who you care for and those who care for you. Making them happy will surely make you happy as well.
Goodluck and happy mylotting.

With the price rise, food has become expensive now so i'm spending more on food with the same amount of allowance. I also have the urge to buy whatever i want when i see something but i have to control it otherwise i have no money left for the more important stuff . I'm also young but all i can think of is money money.. because that's all my parents think about. I think people are getting stingy with their money as the economy declines so better be careful how you spend your money. As the above post suggested, a log book is pretty good thinking .

My dad gives me Php900 for an entire week. In reality, that's less than $20.
I get Php150 from Mondays to Thursdays, and I spend Php100 on transport alone [yes, it's that expensive]. The rest part I try to save, but when we have mid-morning 'juice-and-cookies' break I buy breakfast food.
On a Friday though, I get double my normal allowance. Fridays I spend 12, 13 hours in school, so that's for transport AND food. I try to cut off Php50 to keep so that when we go to the mall I can get cash from my wallet to buy thingamajiggas that I like. My dad's very strict about his own money; he can only chip in up to Php100 when we want something.
I like to think that I'm pretty good about my money, because right now I keep a notebook to track where all the money goes. Ever since I started that move, my savings gradually grew. It's fabulous.

due to global crisis that we experience to day around the world, my mom decided not to bring money everyday instead i bring my food in school and once in a while she give me $5. we have to understand this, because sometimes we experience that we cannot get honey in the jar always, we are not merry always, we experience financial crisis.
