I am not blonde, but I had a moment ... ...

I guess that people do not have to be blonde to have a moment, the other day my eldest son came to me and asked if he could have his money back. I looked at him and said "what money?" he said "the money I gave you last week to look after for me, you said you were putting it in the safe for me" Well I looked at him with a blank expression because I could not remember for the life of me him giving me this money. Then a flash of memory came to me of him giving me this money to look after and my stomach sunk, what the hell did I do with it!!
I sat there for a while trying not to panic, trying to think what did I do with it and all of a sudden I saw myself putting the money in my jeans pocket, the very same jeans I had only washed that day. Guess what I did with his money? Yeah I washed it!!
I ran to the radiator and got the jeans off and put my hand in the pocket, to be honest I was not expecting it to be there, or I thought I was going to pull out a lump of crumby paper, but lady luck was with me and I pulled out a bundle of wet yet intact notes!! I put them on the radiator and dried it out and luckily for me they were perfect!!
So that was my moment, has anyone else had any moments lately that they want to share?

LOL, you're too funny. I guess nobody will be asking you to watch their money for them anymore, huh? He said "watch" not "wash" LOL. Now he's got laundered money!
I do have the occasional blonde moment, and I'm not blonde either.
Oh, I got a real funny one now! This past summer a friend came down from Canada to visit us. She told me she'd be bringing steaks for us to grill up. Well she gets here, and she hands me a couple bags, one bag is a plastic bag with the steaks in it, and I hadn't a clue what was in the other bag. I just set the other bag on the sofa, and brought the steaks into the kitchen, the whole time thinking "This is not enough steak for all of us, she knows I have a big family, what was she thinking?"
So, the day comes to grill the steaks, and I go get the couple that I put in the fridge, and got some of my own I'd purchased because I knew hers weren't enough. I bring them out and she goes "Where's the rest of them?" What do you mean where's the rest, this is what you gave me. She says "No, I gave you a whole bag full of them" OMG! That bag had been sittin on the sofa for like 2 or 3 days at that point.

I have done that a few times and for some reason the money only ever came out wet that is so strange as Paper and that would come out in bits
But when I did it my son was at fault as he never emptied his Pockets and I wouldn't lol well he learned fast when I said that if I start checking the Pockets and find money it will be mine lol
I would not have kept it but he learned lol
I am so pleased that it was your turn for the Blonde Moment

I don't know how many times my mom has washed money that was in my dad's pants pocket. He doesn't bother to check if he has anything in them before putting them in the laundry room. She usually checks his pockets, but she doesn't always catch it all. The money has come out fine every time though, even through the dryer.

Luckily I did not put the jeans in the dryer, I dread to think what would have happened then.

Ahhh Gemini. I have moments like these allll the time. My most recent one was putting my hubby's sandwiches in the cupboard instead of the fridge and he could not find them in the morning....He went with just a bunch of snacks instead and when he got home he was like where was my lunch for today...I said in the fridge we both looked and when we couldn't find it I got all mad and said you must have taken it....anyways I finally found them in the cupboard...having no recollection of putting them up there...hehehe

I have so many I cannot list them. I blame it on being close to menopause. I am a complete space cadet sometimes. I was like this when I was pregnant too. I spent an entire morning looking for my purse in a panic and headed for the fridge for a drink before contacting my bank to cancel my credit cards and there was my purse right next to the cheese in the fridge! I put my daughter's dance shoes on the wrong feet, attempted to feed the cat dog food and tried to put the bucket containing car wash equipment in the outside fridge. There are many more, I'm not blonde either but I think I may be losing my mind!

i am taking anti-asthma meds right now, and I think it has addled up my brain. At work, I am always at a loss for words and I tend to be forgetful. I have a ring that I keep taking off and place it in my desk at work. These past week, I had to run back to our office at the fourth floor in order to get my ring. Today, I left my ring at home so that I don't really lose it.

LATELY!?!?!
Moments are my life my friend!!
I go to the fridge and don't know why I sent and so I close the door...
I walk into my son's room and leave because I have no idea what I am doing there...
I walk to pick up the phone with the tea towel in my hand and then misplace the tea towel so I get a new one and find the other two or three days later...
Need I go on!
Can't believe I am admitting these things
Ah well...I've posted a photo of myself below...as you can see, perhaps my hair is kind of blond but kind of brown too...what do you think?
Do I come by all of this honestly?

How's this for a blond moment?
A blond and a redhead met for dinner after work and were watching the 6 o'clock news. A man was shown, threatening to jump from the Brooklyn Bridge. The blond bet the redhead $50 that he wouldn't jump, and the redhead replied, "I'll take that bet!"
Anyway, sure enough, he jumped, so the blond gave the redhead the $50 she owned. The redhead said, "I can't take this, you're my friend." The blond said, "No. A bet's a bet."
So the redhead said, "Listen, I have to admit, I saw this one on the 5 o'clock news, so I can't take your money."
The blond replied, "Well, so did I, but I never thought he'd jump again!"

I don't call them blonde moments, I call them senior moments and I do have a bunch of them.. I forgot left about 75.00 in my jeans pocket last summer and most of it was 1's and 5's.. After washing them, I got everything in the dryer.. I opened the dryer door to check the clothes after about an hour and all kinds of 1's and 5's came flying out of the dryer, I thought I hit the jackpot.. I gathered them up and restarted the dryer again.. I told my husband about it, neither of us could figure it out and we had a good laugh, all the while tryng to think of where it could have came from.. I then went back to see if the other clothes had finished drying and more 1's came tumbling out.. I told my husband that I was going to keep on checking and forget the clothes, I was watching for more of the money.. I remember later that the smaller bills were from when we had went to a local flea market a few days before and I forgot and left it in my jeans pocket.. I wish that it happened all of the time, I would start taking in laundry.. This was a good "Blonde" or "Senior" moment for me..

I have these moments all of the time and do many ditzy things that I cannot believe that I have done. I used to think it was because I am old but when I think about it, I was like this all of my life. I wrote about it once here. when my husband gave me a 10 day old calf when I had a 5 week old baby as a gift. A cow as a gift. Both the baby and the cow were being fed every three hours. It was when I found myself carrying a bucket of powdered milk into the babies room then I knew that I had lost my presence of mind. Blessings dear friend.

I had to tell you that I have a lot of blonde moments. My husband calls them "SSA's". This stands for 'Saffron Strikes Again'. It is all quite funny. When I was doing my Accountant articles, I picked up a colleague's mobile phone she had left at the office. I took it home for safe keeping. At home, I texted her to tell her I had her phone - dah! I must have had a stressful day!
