Just what good is this going to do other than to spend more money?

Aren't all the Senators already pretty much committed to voting for this thing already - what good will it do?
Elkhart IN is affected because it's primary industry is the manufacture of campers, motor homes - something most people would consider to be a luxury that they can't afford.

Well the only thing I see this doing is adding to our already huge national debt, continue to kill the dollar and cause more inflation.
These guys don't have a clue. Senator Graham was right when he said "we are just making this up as we go". (talking about the econominc stimulus bill).
Which in my opinion is dangerous and could end up doing more harm than go. But the public is screaming "do something" so they are doing something.....just not the right thing. This what happens when you have lawyers in elected offices that know nothing about economics or sound spending practices.

This is very true, and I don't see what good it is going to do for Obama to run around the country "campaigning" to the American people for it.

Great comment. It is truly scary that the lawmakers seem so concerned with doing something immediately instead of being concerned with doing something useful.

at our exspense I might add. Who is paying for this town call meeting? Not the campaign contributions. We the american tax payers are. Gee, why couldn't he have just done a press conference from the white house and just saved us the extra spending on this "meeting"?

I think Obama and his band of ganstas are really not in it for us folks. They are helping ACORN, themselves and who helped them get elected. Glad I could foot the bill!

The campaign is over - get on with business and get some work done! Hasn't Obama spent enough money smooth-talking the American people?

Obama is using scare tactics but it is not working. The people still do not believe in it.
