Missionaries as Criminals

I'm more than a little hot under the collar. Last night I caught another news story where the media tried to paint missionaries as criminals for spreading the gospel. In fact I was mad enough to write an article: http://hubpages.com/hub/The-Great-Commission and publish it to hub pages and associated content. The media is actively working against the church and Christianity in general. When the good deeds of Christian missionaries can be painted as criminal activity by a reporter we would be fools to take anything they say at face value. Christian missionaries commit such crimes as freeing slaves, protecting children, healing the casualties of war, and teaching love, equality and peace. I cannot sit still in the face of these attacks. When an Afghani Muslim was sentenced to death for becoming a Christian the outrage of Christians around the world made a difference. It's time we stepped up to the plate again. Please pray for the missionaries in South America who are facing slander and criminal accusations from local government and the United States media.
