me and my boyfriend are just new in our relationship.. and as early as now, he is showing that he wants to control me.. he just want me to stay in my house always and cannot go our with my friends even if he meet them already.he doesnt want me to drink, he wont allow me to attend even a high school reunion.. i have told him already about it and he said he is un aware of it. now he is trying his best to be open with it. and i have noticed he has changed. good thing i have told him earlier and he is willing to change.

Hello, I did with my ex-husband but my b/f now knows not to try to control me. I was with my ex-husband for 13 1/2 years. Needless to say I took some time off of any relationshhips until I remembered what it was like to be me again.Between my ex-husband and my other ex-b/f was 19 months when I felt ok like I could handle any relationship that came my way.

I can be reasoned with but not controlled, I make up my own mind and decide what is best for me. Whats best for me is that the people I love are cared for and loved to
the best of my ability.

I felt controlled by my first husband. We had a child..I had to get out when I saw it effecting her at the age of 3. Now, years later, I am happily married again and will never ever let a husband or anyone else control me. I am an independent woman, capable and smart and resistant to control. We learn by our mistakes!
If you are being controlled, it is already out of control. Get out and protect yourself!!
