There's More Good News To Tell!!

We got our property surved on the one side. The side where our trouble making neighbors live so we would know where exactly to put our fence when we're able to afford one. In the meantime, hubby put in tall stakes and marked each one orange and strung along an orange strip from one stake to another. Come to find out, our neighbor was wrong, he had put up orange ties on the trees where he thought his property came to and it wasn't right!! Our property went about 10 feet inside of his markers!! It's no wonder we wouldn't agree to what he said!! He was wrong all along!! It's a matter of time for them to come home and see what was done and we wonder if they'll raise a stink over the matter. Oh well if they do!! We have proof that a survey was done and this is where our property is, like it or not, too bad!! lol I'm soooo loving it!! tee hee!!There's more!! To explain, I told you about hubby's mother and step father passing away last year, one in May and the other New Year's Eve. Both were creamated but still they needed to be buried with military honors and the cemetary they were to be buried at was near hubby's two brothers house which is a five hours drive. Hubby's oldest brother makes all kinds of things out of wood but mainly cabinets. He's really really good at what he does. We've needed new counter tops for all three bathrooms and in the kitchen because the ones we have now are horrible looking and don't match the beautiful cabinets that we have. Plans were made for their parents to be buried so, of course, hubby went to the funeral. While up there he went to see his brother to have him make another counter top for our bathroom, which is another story.... the fawcet wasn't working right for the longest time and when hubby got most of his inheritance, we were able to buy a new faucet (time for repairs!) Hubby had a terrible time getting the old fawcet out but once he got it out, the sink had cracked. Lovely. Just lovely. So he had to replace the sink too and as he tried to get the sink out, he tore the counter top. lol So he took the counter top out and took it with him so his brother could make a new one with the color that I choose. Hubby gave him the dementions of the other two counters (mud room and mud room bathroom) and he was able to make those as well. Now his brother wants to come down and stay with us for a couple days sometime this spring or summer so he could make the kitchen counter and the master bathroom counter!! We're like "COME ON!" lol Counter tops are expensive!! But his brother can make them for a fraction of the cost!! The three he made us he didn't charge us anything except the cost of the materials! They are absolutely gorgeous!! He did a fantastic job!! I'm really impressed with his work that I can't wait for him to come down and make the other two!! All counters will be the same except the kitchen one. The kitchen will have a tan color but some areas are lighter than others, kind of like a blended of browns so it'll pick up the color of our cabinets and set it off. All the other counters are kind of a greyish color with specks of darker grey and white specks. They're soooo pretty that they look like real marble but it's not. So another reason why I can't wait for Spring to get here!! lol
There's more to tell but I don't think it'll all fit on here so I'll do another discussion when I can. Right now it's dinner time and I'm starving!! lol
I'd like to add, I'm guessing that with all the good we did last year and still continue to do that God has seen it and is rewarding us for everything and then some and for that I want to shout on the roof tops "THANK YOU GOD!! THANK YOU!!"

Woohooooo! Life is going so good for you now hon! I'm so glad for that. I would love to be a little birdy in a tree when your neighbors got home. LOL! You'll have to let us know what their reactions were. And great news about the counters. You'll have the most awesome home around when your brother in law gets done with it. I can't wait to see what it looks like.

Yes it sure is good!! I'm soooo happy for the turn around!! We must've pleased God with our strength in keeping it together while the whole world was falling apart around us! (wiping my brow) Whew!
The neighbor came home and he saw the orange tape like stuff strung out from pole to pole and he went to the end of our driveway and looked down through the trees and then he came around his property and down to another part and kept on walking into his woods and then walked back. I didn't know he was in the woods and I came out to check on something and he hollered "hello there", I looked up and hollered back, hubby heard and came too. Hubby told him we had the land surveyed and he was fine with it and was happy to know where the property line was and didn't realize that he was off by that much and we assured him that he was and even showed him the reciept from the surveyer and he was fine. He didn't have anything bad to say at all which surprised the hell out of both of us! lol Then I proceeded to explain that the reason I came over that night is to "fix" things between us but his wife started yelling at me and that's when I tried to explain that I didn't come to fight but to fix things but she kept on yelling at me which I wasn't going to take and is why I walked out the door. He told hubby that he should've been there that night for the "girls" were really going at it and I spoke up and told him that I didn't do any yelling that his wife was the one yelling. He said that since her accident a few years ago, she's been a lot more emotional. I'm like, what ever but I didn't say anything to it except to say that I didn't come over to fight but to fix what ever went wrong AND I told him that I saw her at Walmart the other day but she didn't say anything so I didn't either and he asked if she saw me and I told him oh yeah, she saw me but she turned and went the other way and that's when I knew, she didn't want to reconcile so so be it. He just shook his head. So you know, if she can be so cold and so stupid acting then so be it. I don't need it, I don't want it and I'm not going to have it.

Cats, I am so happy for you. I know it sounds strange, but I can "hear" the happiness. Its so nice to see the joy, specially after seeing the sorrow that you have endured this past year. When you brother in law is done, will you send him my way, I am in desparate need of a kitchen counter.

Thanks Polly! It feels soooo good to have these things happen for us because for a while things were breaking down left and right and we didn't have the funds to repair anything thanks to the gas prices soaring sky high and at the same time, mom was in the hospital and rehab. Our money and then some went out the window in a hurry!! It was such bad timing when those gas prices soared like they did.
Where is it that you live? Who knows, maybe I could send him your way!! I'd be honored to do so!!

Thanks so much for praying for him. It is going to be a long hall. He will be in the hospital for at least 7 days and it will take 6 months for him to fully heal. I am terrified, but have to do it. I guess it is my turn to go that road now.

Can I have your brother in law? He sounds terrific. It sounds as if right is winning out in the relationship with your neighbors. It is getting close to Spring and it sounds like things are looking up for you.

It's good to know people in high places, isn't it? lol It can save one lots and lots of money. I know it sure has for us!

Tell me about it ElicBxn! I was starting to wonder how many of you believe me that all of this was really happening! I mean, it's hard to believe but it's all true. Every bit of it is true. It's not over yet but what's left, I'm not going to worry about because I can only fix my side and if the other side won't let me in, what can I do? So instead of worrying about it, I've had to wash my hands of it and just let it go. It was hard to do but it came down to either my health or I could hang onto it and let it destroy me so I choose my health. So if I were to die tomorrow, my conscience is clear because I know I tried. I feel sorry for my brother and my nephew if anything happens to me because they'll feel terrible that they didn't right things with me but I tried and that's all I can do.

I can tell from your discussion that you are in seventh heaven and life is good to you. Congratulation on all the goodness that is going on in your life. I do pray it continues for you. Blessing from God is great. I am waiting on some of those blessings to pour down on me too I am not going to to give up . I know he will come when he want to because he is always right on time.
About the surveyor coming out and surveying your land. My crazy neighbor did the same thing , had a surveyor out. The dummy my neighbor that is claimed all of our land. He has me on his left, another neighbor on the right, and another behind him. We live in a residential neighbor hood. When the land was surveyed it proved that what he claimed wasn't his. He pulled up the markers the surveyor had put down threw the markers away and cursed out the surveyor. That is my crazy neighbor.

Yes I'm very excited and very happy. Please hang in there for God will bless you too! Trust me, He will!!
Gosh that neighbor of yours does sound a wee bit on the whacko side!! I might pay for you guys to put a fence up so you won't have to deal with him anymore. That's what we're going to do! Look at my response two above yours and see what happened when he came home....
