The plane that flew into hudson to save passangers.

I know this is a bit late but I'm rarely on this place often.
You remember that plane that was hit by geese and had to land in the middle of the hudson? Well I found out not long after that the company I work for made a part that saved those peoples lives. I helped keep the engines running so that they could make an emergency landing in the hudson (or wherever safe lol). I feel a sense of pride knowing that the company I work at has saved hundreds, literally, of lives. I know I don't make those parts myself, I make parts for turbo chargers in trucks, but it just a sense of pride when you see something in the paper saying that our company helped save those 100s of lives.
Do you feel any kind of pride for the place you work at whether it be saving lives or doing a great enough job that people keep coming back? etc?

Well that is amazing to hear that you had in a way played a part in saving so many peoples lives.
I haven't worked there long enough at Ihop, to say that I have customers coming back, but I remember when I used to work for a cell phone company. I had such great customer service, that I kept the customers staying there, even though there were times that they wanted to cancel their account. Hopefully I can bring such great customer service to Ihop that will keep the customers coming.

we take pride in the good accomplishments of the company that we work with because, we somehow identify ourselves with it.
for me, i took pride when i was working for the government. the first one was with the department of public works and highways. i was very honest with my work. i was in charge then of some bridges, roads, and school building projects. i did all i can to make that the specifications were followed and the work was good.
then, i became connected with the planning and development arm of the government. this is the last job that i held. i did participate well and good in all the activities and submitted all the plans that i had conceptualized in full proposal papers. i believed that those projects can help propel this country into the envisioned tourist destination of the world target.
yes, i take pride in the work that i have been involved in. it is simply because, i poured in my best in all those areas of work.
