Grrrr I left some chicken on the side to cool so i could make myself a nice chicken sandwich, Only when i go and make some the bloody dog has taken it off the side and eaten the whole flipping thing!!! I,m just glad he doesn,t know how 2 open the cupboards or fridge to help himself to everything else! Does anyone else have that problem?? xx

I used to have a cat that would go over to the neighbors and steal their food. She would bring food home to feed her kittens. She would get food when people were BBQ outside, she came home with chicken and steaks before, haha. I am sure people would wonder were the food went. Also the dog that I have will steal food if you set in down within reach. My other dog has manners and will guard your food from the other dog. Its funny, I guess she figures if she isn't getting it she is going to make sure the other dog doesn't get it.

Awww bless, shes a lovely and loyal dog, I used to have a female dog that used to do that! Sadly had to have her put down a few years ago as she had terminal tumour! I think Most female dogs are more loyal and better behaved than the cheeky mischivious male dogs!! xx

Hi I had to have a bit of a smile when I read your post!! The other evening I was typing away on www.mylot.com and I had just made my self a really nice sandwich, Turkey Salad!!! I heard the kettle switch off, and so I thought I would have a cuppa with it!!! I turned around, and the cat had stolen it!!! I went to get hold of it, and she just picked it up and ran off with it!!!! Greedy Git!!!! And..... you know what..... The first thing I do in the morning is to feed the cats!!! And they go and steal from me!!!! PS:- I notice that you are from my home town Nottingham!! I left in 1971 to join the Army and I only go back now to see my Dad. It has changed somewhat!!!! Although I see the girls are still pretty from Nottingham!

All animals pull stunts if they can get away with it. My cat steals food right out of my mouth.

Yes, we were actually watching my brother-in-laws dog (a black lab) and had a 2 pound tri-tip on the counter...we went outside and when we came back in to get the tri-tip it was gone. I have now learned that raw meat, should be placed maybe inside the sink...until you can get to it...they shouldn't be able to get in there!I also have a Jack Russell Terrier who can open cupboards. We have our trash can inside a cupboard and she used to open it all the time and take trash out. We finally had to buy a baby lock for the cupboard, so no more trash for her.

my dog likes to get napkins out of the trash and shread them to get every last flavor she can from them. drives me nuts to come home to a living room full of shreaded paper! but I guess I should be smarter than my dog and stop leaving it where she can get to it.

sorry no I dont have that problem my dog is too little, I have to watch out for the cats, and they both like people food. I just make sure it is covered when when the food is on the counter.
