With the cellphones coming our way, dont you think that landlines have almost vanished? With the revolution of mobile phones, we hardly see people either using or giving their contact as their landline number. DOnt you think that landline phones have become outdated ?

We use our landline on a daily basis. There's a need for it because we don't have the best of reception our in our home area. If we were to get rid of the landline, our ability to use our cell phone for other things would be unpredicatable. I would hate to be on an important phone call because of a reception issue, or if I happen to have forgotten to charge my phone.

My wife and I went for a couple of months without picking up our house phone at all. We both always use our cell phones. So, after going for a couple of month without using the old-fashioned phone, we decided to have it turned off and save that money we were paying out for nothing each month. We now only have our cell phones...

Well maybe I should never answer this one as I have never really had a landline. This is because I live in a rural area and in our country the rural areas have largely been neglected .This meant that many persons never had any means of contacting other persons ,then a new company came and brought withit new and cheaper cellphones and now everyone has cellphones. The fact that cellphones have become so popular means that very few persons have any need for landlines which were usually expensive because of the fees that they have to pay

Nowadays we find landlines only in offices and in my home there are four members and each one of us have only cell phone and we find many models of cell phones being introduced in the market and people are very much attracted towards those and nobody wants to care about landlines and the main problem with the landline is the monthly rental which nobody wants to pay.
So i think in future landline phones will become outdated.
