When my life started to feel heavy because of so many problems, I noticed that I became a cinema addict. I prefered watching in cinemas to be able to escape from reality and forget all my problems even for just an hour. I feel that in the cinema I became part of the movie. Maybe the darkness of the room gives me the focus in the movie and not to think anything else. That's why i prefer and love watching in the cinemas. How about you guys do you feel the same about watching in the cinema?

I definately prefer to watch movies at home...That way I can relax, pause it if I need to..eat what I want, put my feet up, stop it if i dont like it and I dont have to worry about my feet sticking to the floor, rude loud mouth types who cant shut the hell up and morons throwing popcorn and just generally being a bloody pain in the rump...AND best of all, its free!!

Hello bekindcaty! I rarely go to the cinemas to watch my favorite films. At times, my boyfriend and I would go to the cinema to watch something that is really worth watching in the cinema. Most of the time though, I would watch movies in DVD. One reason is that I am too busy to even go to the cinema. That is why whenever I have time, I would be a couch potato and watch DVD all day if possible.

I like watching movies at home. There are just some movies that I don't feel comfortable watching with a large group of people. For example scary movies or musicals. With musicals I like to sing along and some people in the cinemas would rather listen to the actors sing and not me.

There are some movies in which I prefer watching in the cinema, the ones with a lot of special effects, etc. But I do prefer watching it in a dvd at home. You can watch it at any time you want, pause it for bathroom breaks and you can stop it and continue another day. Though that usually never happens with me. I am just an avid movie lover and I will try to watch any movie that I can =) hehehe

It is far more comfortable and a lot cheaper to watch DVDs at home. If I want all the sound effects, I can channel it through my dolby system. The only down-side is that films come to the cinema before they are released on DVD.. :-) Derek

I always enjoy actually going to the theater to see a movie. It just sets the tone for me. I still have certain movies that I absolutely have to see in the theater. But with the economy and finances as they are these days, we have been renting movies a lot more often than going to see them in the theater. Sad, but true.

I rather do so at home. Not interupted by others, or feeling like I might be a distraction. Being able to lay and snuggle up on hte couch with my partner. Being able to pause if needed. Being able to eat and drink whatever.

Before during my college days, i do prefer to go to the cinema for watching movies with friends, we really enjoy it and we can scream and scream lolz. But now, i just do prefer to stay at home and enjoy the dvd, justwaiting for the new dvd release, because i have a little son to look after. So we both enjoy the film. Happy posting.

Isn't it a great escape to leave your own life and go into someone else's for a while? I love movies and I find books are a great healthy escape too providing you are not interrupted by others which is one of the problems of settling down to a good film in front of your TV, there's the phone, the doorbell, kids, you name it! Although I watch a lot of DVDs because they are cheaper, nothing beats seeing a film at the cinema, the atmosphere is better. I love sitting in the theatre even before the movie has started, it's the best. So, yes I am with you, I love going to the cinema!

I am a pretty big movie buff myself. I put in dish network direct tv and timewarner cable so I got the name "cableman". I have always liked movies and would rather watch them than I would sitcoms on television. As far as going out to the movies I prefer to watch them at home especially since it has become even easier to get movies at home by downloadig, renting, etc. I guess that watching a movie can provide some sort of escape from the problems in life but they will still be there after the movie is over. I have still been guilty of watching movies to escape every now and again. Everyone needs an outlet to relieve tension and worries every now and again although I have never been drawn to the darkness of the theater.

Watching movies is a very entertaining past time. Whenever i have extra money or if a movie is worth spending for, I watch it in the cinemas to fully enjoy its cinematography and sound quality. But the most practical way for me in watching movies is by waiting for them to be released in DVD's. it saves me time for going out and money for dining out during , before or after watching a movie at the cinemas.

because i am a mother now, very busy with my parenting, i haven't gone to the cinema nearly for 3 years. usually, i watch movie on the internet. i think the answer denpends what kind of movie you'll watch. For love film, watching at home will be the best way. if there are lots of actions, big scenes, grand music, only in a good cinema hall, you can appreciate those qualities.

I prefer to watch movies on DVD. I can pause, rewind, slow and go to a break and not miss anything. Also no stranger sitting in front of me being loud and annoying. the food at home is cheaper and better. The popcorn cost pennies instead of dollars.
