DSL, Cable, Satellite or Dial Up; Which do you prefer?

I have used them all, but I've found that the most least likely to go out is DSL. Plus when you used cable or satellite, then when there was a storm that knocked out that particular service, then the Internet connection went out.
But with dial up and DSL, it was the most least likeliest service to go out, thus although it is not wise to use your computer during a storm, it was normally available.
But honesty, although dial up is less expensive, it is just too SLOW.
So, which do you prefer, and why?

I never experienced using a satellite and cable, so far as I am hooked with the internet. I used dial-up before, yet it is cheap but the service is to slow. I always prefer DSL, the one that most people said broadband. DSL or broadband internet is much faster than dial-up. And besides being fast, you can always use the phone line while still using the computer/internet...

I love that feature as well, and the phone conversations are clear.

I prefer cable internet it is fast and we don't need any extra modem just a Ethernet card is enough, and more over we need not configure anything so i like Cable net, i am using "Beam Cable systems" it is fine even the cost is much cheaper than the other internet providers.
Before i used to use Dail-up connection it is very slow and i everyday end up with getting some error message like "ERROR 676" and i really hate dail-up.

Wow, sorry to hear about your "ERROR 676" with dial-up. I used to didn't mind the whole dial-up experience, until I used DSL, and then it was like why am I torturing myself with this S L O W service plan.

I don't like the cold, if there was a such thing as warm snow, I'd enjoy that a whole lot.

Dial up drives me nuts. I don't mind a cable modem, but I think DSL has been my favorite. It may make a difference from which company your DSL is coming from, but all the places I've had DSL have always been very good. A lot of places give dial up for free now.

I have used dial-up for some time and it is very slow and i realized its slowness more when i used 2gb dsl connection. it was the time i realized that i had wasted so much time using dial-up. although dsl is bit expensive, it is much faster than dial-up
i have used cable connection also, it is similar to dsl and bit faster. i like both dsl and cable connections

I admit cable connection is faster, but it's too much of an inconvenience when it's out.

I used them All DSL wasn't that good I payed for 2mbps and they gave me only half of a 1mbps speed :S I had dial-up , it was really slow it was horrible I would never go to that type of internet again with dial up you have to wait hours for a site to come up! then satellite is a bit bad , you have to be in places that there was reception and cable is great for me , I really preffer cable I pay for 4mbps and I get more XD and it has faster speeds then the DSL provider and a better customer service and the prices are cheaper but when there's a blackout thorugh out the island I live on my internet connection gets cut and I end up without any internet , tv and telephony cause I have a generator

I have DSL too, it occasionally blinks out during my online session, but it's up and running 98% of the time. Welcome to mylot.
