I'm using Post-Paid. I love texting, e-mailing, calling, IM'ing, web browsing, lol all that good stuff with phones these days, I couldn't survive with a prepaid phone knowing my minutes/data will go out soon D: lol =p

On T-mobile I'm sure it costs 10 cents per messgage (ouch!) So I stick to my unlimited amount of data and text messaging plan!! :) Lol like one user said...I should go to prepaid when my contact ends =\ haha

I use a prepaid service from Boost. I previously had a prepaid account with Suncom and was very pleased with their service until T-Mobile bought them out. When T-Mobile bought them out I went to the store in person and they assured me that my phone plan would be exactly the same. While at the store I paid for two months in advance and thought nothing more about it. My plan was twenty five dollars a week for unlimited usage in the continental USA and unlimited texting. After about a week and a half my phone service was cut off. When I inquired into the problem I was told that I was out of minutes. I then went to the T-Mobile store in person again and talked with the store manager. I was told that my old service plan was not available and the only options I had were to either pay upfront prepaid minute by minute or sign up for a monthly plan. I told the manager if they would compensate me for the wrongful charges that I would take a monthly contract. They would not compensate me in any way and were actually quite rude about it. I had just bought a new cell phone for almost two hundred dollars a couple of months before with Suncom and now it was useless. I don't know if anyone else has had a similar problem but I don't care how nice or expensive a cell phone is once you use it the value is gone. I completely lost out on the phone and service. I then went across the street to a mobile service company that provides service from several different providers. I had to buy a whole new phone because the one I had was not compatible with the new service but they gave me a great deal with Boost and my monthly cost is about thirty percent less than before with unlimited service. I warn people off of T-Mobile. They will not back up their service or products and their customer service will not help you resolve any issues. The original salesperson was working when I went back and they still wouldn't compensate or resolve my issue in any way. I was blatently lied to and cheated by T-Mobile. I would NOT recommend them to anyone but I am very happy with my service with Boost!

cableman, thank you for your long response. T-mobile offers cheap rates but at the same time thier customer services are not good, as you have expereinced.

I use a prepaid connection as I have complete control over the expenditure. I know that I if use a post-paid connection I won't think twice before overspending. Prepaid balance alerts keep reminding me about my level going low and I adjust my calling accordingly. I do a lot of texting over phone calls.

Yes, as long as you have control over calls, text, pre-paid is good enough

Is Rs 333 enough for full months ? I use prepaid, which is normally 10$ - 15% a month.

I use Pre-paid services because it's cheaper than the minimum package in my carrier. I'm from the Philippines so I'm not sure if you'll understand most of this: 1. It's cheaper because it's prepaid. I DO have days when I don't have load so I don't feel obligated to reply to SMS messages. Or I can at least pretend that I don't have load if I'm to lazy. 2. I don't make calls, instead, I always send SMS. And there are promos where all I have to spend is Php15.00 to send 100 SMS to anyone in the same network. Php15.00 in regular load amounts to 15 regular text messages (if you don't apply for the promo, then you can only send 15 regular length SMS). That means that if I'm diligent and I load Php15.00 a day, that amounts to Php450.00 a month, which is P50 cheaper than the cheapest Postpaid package of Php500. And since I'm NOT diligent, I only end up spending around P250 a month :) Thanks for the response on my discussion!

Hi user_786.. I am using both. I have a post paid plan that I use to communicate with people here in Denmark. I have post paid that I use to call or send an sms to my family and friends in the Philippines. Prepaid is way cheaper than the post paid if calling or sending sms abroad. I normally spent two prepaid cards with 120minutes airtime in a month. As for my post paid, I always exceed from my limit thats why I always allocate money for my phone bill that exceeds for the regular monthly bill.

I have post-paid... The way I use the phone, if I went with pre-paid, I couldn't afford it... I'm paying $116/month right now... I use somewhere between 2,500 - 3,500 minutes... It averages out to about $0.03 - $0.04 per minute... If I were to use pre-paid phone & used the same amount of minutes, it would be more than I'm paying now... And that's strictly "talking" part... I do use text messages & emails & access internet as well which I'm pretty sure would be extras on pre-paid...

hi.. Im using postpaid, and I sometimes I exceed my limit.. Im decided that after the contract (2 years) I'll be using prepaid.. Postpaid is advantageous most especially in urgent or emergency times.. But prepaid, I believe, would cost me less.. There are lots of promos in suing prepaid like unlimited text, unlimited call, etc..

I have a prepaid account and as a student I prefer to prepaid instead of postpaid as it is cheap and affordable. I saw many who have a postpaid and they are sufferiing from big amount of bill or habit of long talks, some people do fraud & do not pay their bills As prepaid is cheap and have lost call rate by monthly expenditure of calls and msgs is about 200 rs.
