that in the 15th century, cutting down a Nebbiolo grapevine in the Piedmont region of La Morra was punishable by a heavy fine, hanging, or having your right hand cut off?

No, I didn't. I like reading about strange laws (old and still on the books today) I have a book with strange laws in it somewhere around here.

No I didn't know that but I do enjoy hearing different and interesting stories and the facts of days in yesteryear. That is something that a lot of people probably didn't know. There are a lot of laws in different parts of the country even today that are hard to believe but true. I wonder if it is still true that people can be punished by losing a hand for stealing in some countries. Thanks for sharing an interesting fact today. Take care braver.
