how many valentine day cards ,will you send this year.let me think.one each for my little girl and boy,one for my man and one for my mom.
i love how a Valentines Day card expresses so much more feeling then any gift a person could give. I like the simple things in life & I love when someone put thoughts in to just getting me a v-day card in general. It touches me ever so deeply I must say honestly! . .
so what have you planned for???

Valentine Day has never been a big day for me and have never celebrated this very commercialized special day dedicated to lovers. It doesn't really have any significant meaning to me. I am a lousy lover LOL. Valentine day has made Hallmark prosper and become one of the world's most popular cards maker which ranked them no. 1 in the world. All florists have run out of roses, and can't meet their demand during this day which prompted them to increase the price of one stalk of rose to 200% from the normal price and lovers have no complains as it is supposedly the symbol of love. So the florist run brisk business during this day and are laughing their way to the bank cos valentine day has earned them a fortune. Why waste money on cards? After all valentine day is making more money to the business world

I love to receive and give Valentine cards. It means a lot to me. I give a card to my husband, my mom and my grandma. I also give cards to the kids in my life. My kids, grandkids, friends kids etc.
I was going to start the same discussion when I found yours.
Happy Valentines Day!

I will be sending no cards out as I tend not to get involved with the whole thing. I understand why people enjoy the day but it feels like another way to fleece money from the public as so much importance is placed on it. You only have to switch on the TV to see how the day is marketed and the idea that to show your love for someone by spending loads of money is nonsense in my opinion. If there is someone special in my life I always write a letter and/or poem instead of a card. I think it is more personal and reflects that time has been taken to express your feelings for them. I do enjoy a nice romantic meal with a loved one but feel it is more special if done on any other day of the year, rather than the one day marketed for it.

I like receiving a home-made card more than anything. To see someone take the time to make a card instead of buying a card means so much to me. Not that a bought card is not good it is just more special if you get one home-made. If you think o... they will think im too cheap or forgot to get a bought card, if they really love you they wont think that at all. Hope you all have a great valentines day!

I won't be sending out the usual valentine day card but if we are talking about e cards i will be sending to all my friends and family who use the internet. So that would mean more than fifty cards if i can manage to attend to sending to all. Of course I might find it easier to send them greetings through text which is a lot easier.

I am only sending one valentines card and that is intended for my husband. I don't normally give valentines card to other people during this day. Actually I am not very fond of sending card in whatever occasions. I am so lazy or perhaps too busy. I appreciate people who are caring enough to send cards.

Hi ya riyasam
Here in the UK we don't tend to give our children or friends Valentine's cards just a significant other or someone we are interested in. I shall be sending out just the one this year as I have my eye on a particular person but I think he will know it will be me who has sent it because of the postmark on the envelope!

I guess I have never sent cards out on valentines day. I only send cards for christmas. I didn't know you should send cards to everyone on valentines day. I was surprised when I went to go visit my grandparents this past weekend (they live in a different state) I say that both my other sisters had sent them cards for valentines. I din't know they did this and made me wonder what they thought since I never send them one. I think I am going to start though.
