I think it's a matter of traditionalism. Should traditionalism survive to this subject? Personally I don't think it should at this point in society. Women yell for equality in all areas and yet there is certain things within "relationships" that most women expect men to "do" first. Men are almost exclusively expected to be the first to ask a woman out, and to propose to a woman. Just a few examples...

I don't know. But I think girls also propose. Even though boy proposes girls may show an indication that she is waiting for a proposal.I am not very sure about this because mine was an arranged marriage and I had no love affairs.

This is a sign of confidence. If you can't ask her how are you going to defend her against an agressive male.
