Girls and uys alike, does anyone actually subscribe to Playboy for the articles? Or do you just like the naked ladies? I subscribe to Playboy because they have some of the best short stories, great interviews, and just good articles in general. In my opinion, they used to be better, but so did a lot of things, lol. Did you know that the original James Bond Stories were published in Playboy?

I think it is trash.

I respect your opinion, as some may feel that way. Is there any particular reason you feel that it is trash?

Thanks for drawing me out! I would consider Playboy prn and I view all prnographic material negatively (no pun intended). There is no useful purpose for it. It is only destructive to men's lives, playing on our weaknesses. Now there may be some useful material as you have suggested. That doesn't justify the magazine in my mind. There is plenty of excellent journalism elsewhere that can stand on its own.

Sorry, I can't view your comment. They system tells me it is of a "mature" nature that my settings aren't rigged for ;-0

Getting Playboy "for the articles" has been a long running joke BUT Playboy has always had great articles contributed by excellent writers. I've never bought one, and have no interest in the naked ladies but I have read a few here and there and have to give them kudo's where it's due.

Yes, lol, whenever someone new comes into my house and sees my playboys, they have a big question mark on their face. I tell them I get them for the articles, they all laugh and don't believe me. But like you said, you do gotta give credit to where its due. Thanks for posting.

I have never subscribed to play boy but when I would hang out at my boyfriends old apartment his roommate had quite a collection in the bathroom. When I was in there I would page through them. They had quite a bit of interesting things in there. They had some really good interviews with some surprising people. They also had a new fiction piece in each one. They even had a good one by stephen king. The one thing that really shocked me is that Shel Silverstein has a lot of his drawings in there. He is a childrens author and I have a ton of his poetry collections.

Yes I agree, they have some really good reading material. Shel Silverstein does some of the cartoons? Wow I never noticed that, that is quite surprising. Thanks for commenting.
