When was the last time you did something for the first time? And what was it?

I am a "planner" type of person especially when it comes to travel. Last Thursday (Feb 5), for the first time, just out of the blue I decided to go on a weekend getaway. I booked a vacation online and by saturday I was on my way to the resort. Good thing everything turned out well.

All in the months of February and March. All first times here in Manila: first time to commute alone from Alabang to Trinoma then vice versa; first time to ride the MRT alone; first time to ride the bus alone; first time to date my college crush after 7 years from graduation day; first Starbucks, Burger King, Sbarro, Italianni's, Yellowcab and my favorite Dairy Queen; Ok, this is irrelevant but i'll include this anyways, firs xes away from my hometown.

C'mon compare that to the first time ride to the MRT. I could not even remember how it felt like when I first rode the MRT! But wait, my first taste of the chocolate covered strawberry in DQ... I still remember the sensation the cold ice cream gliding from my tongue down to my throat... then my teeth sinking in the helpless strawberry... hahaha

I have done a lot of first times last year to conquer my fear. One of them is getting myself on high and fast rides. I dared and took a mountain lift in Vancouver last September with my 2 daughters. I had so much fun I filmed the ride and posted it on youtube afterwards. haha

Conquering my fear of riding a rollercoaster or any thrill ride is something I still need to overcome.

Well the last time that I did something for the first time was actually last week. I got a completely different job then what I am used to working. I normally work at a call center setting sitting at a desk/cubicle and answering phones. Well, just last week, I got hired and have been getting trained in doing waitressing. That is something new to me and something that I have done for the first time.
