No, I really did! I just wanted to share this with my friends here - I already shared it with my facebook peeps. I figured it was about time for something good since in the last few months all I had shared of consequence was lousy things and questions nobody can answer lol. I went to a luncheon - I belong to a moms club. I think there are groups everywhere, and it is designed to be a support network for moms who have chosen to be at home raising their kids. I don't want to sound mean in any way so I guess that was the best way to put it. Anyway, we hold this luncheon annually, and every group/chapter puts together a basket, some of them are themed, some of them are not. Lots of them contained money, some of them are very simple, others elaborate. I have not managed to take my daughter to Disneyland yet. Yes, I know that makes me a total putz and I have NO idea why I haven't except that fate always seemed to intervene. The basket I won included 4 Disney tickets - enough to take my family which is a big deal to me because although I had just wanted to take my daughter, I hate excluding anybody and buying 4 tickets is expensive. It also had the $500.... and a ton of gift cards, and it was all displayed in a big digital print sized frame, something you'd mat a huge wall portrait in. I'm still pinching myself to realize it's real, when I heard my name I thought I was going to cry lol. I bought $30 worth of raffle tickets but I only put 5 of those tickets into the basket I won. Luck? I don't know. But I'm happy I won it lol!

Thank you! I actually won something last year too... I spent a little more on raffle tickets but still much less than the prize made up for. I think next year I will still buy my own tickets but I also plan to go in on some group tickets with some friends and we'll put them in the big ticket baskets and split if ANY of us win. I think they all decided that while we were chatting after I won the basket because they think my luck would rub off. LOL! This said, I am due for a block so next year I don't expect ANYTHING! The raffle money all goes for a great cause, which is generally why I buy $20+ worth of tickets every year. I'm not really a big gambler, so my motivation isn't really driven by the winning factor. That's why it's so shocking if I win.

Earning here you mean? Basically it's a combination of being active, starting interesting discussions, sharing your thoughts and opinions with others in responses, and making friends. The more you contribute, the more you earn. I see you only have 20 posts counted so you may have to be more active than that. I've been here since... oh April or so of 2008. There are many people who have been here a couple YEARS and their post count numbers in the 10K plus lol.

congratulations! im happy for you. that's how our mind works though you dont notice it the one that you ask will happen. i believe in the power of mind. as what i've read in the secret ask, believe and recieve. so always think of the positive things and the things that you want to happen. don't block the energy by negative thoughts. and be grateful for anything and appreciate what you have because it will add more.

Congratulations! You and your family must have been so happy to receive the gifts. I think the only prize i got from a raffle draw was a wall clock. I think i am not that lucky for raffles, hehehe!

I only take part in raffles maybe once or twice a year. I actually think the odds are better if you aren't the sort of person who buys tickets for things all the time.

Wow.. you're such a lucky person.. Imagine you only just put 5 of those tickets.. that's amazing..

I'm still befuddled by it but I'm happy all the same. It is always neat to win something or be blessed unexpectedly.

Wow, congratulations. Not everyone has the opportunity to win that much plus the goodies that goes with it. We may not say it is luck rather it was really meant for you. It only shows that no matter how bad we experience things in life something good and pleasing will just cover up this bad stuff. Enjoy the moment in Disney with your kids!!! Have fun!!!

Thanks! I already feel pretty blessed, despite the average nonsense that invades everybody's lives, I have a LOT to be thankful for. I think this winning was a nudge to take a vacation, we have not really taken a family vacation. We had an alone vacation and trip to visit my extended family but those were taken about 4 years apart lol. Also we couldn't take ALL of the kids because of school.

Congratulations. When do we leave ? I am happy you have the chance to take your child and a few others to Disneyland. When are you planning on going? Have fun and think of us here still MyLotting. I haven't won anything lately. I did win a few items when I was working and they would give prizes at the family and fun day activities.

Years ago I won a home security system, Brinks I think. Of course we had to pay for the monitoring service but to me that's like winning a cell phone with the stipulation that you had to buy a 2 year contract. What is the point of a home security system (or a cell phone for that matter) without service? LOL! It was peace of mind from intruders. I think we'll go in the spring - it's nice here in the spring, and we may be able to go on a weekday so it's not as crowded. We'd head down early so we could be there when the park opened, stay all day, then go home after it closes lol. I am still considering upgrading two of the tickets to annual passes, that way when friends who have passes go, then my daughter and I could go with them.

Congratulations on your win mommyboo. I find that when we win things, its usually for a reason. Usually after a financial need or lousy stretch in our life, something good will happen. NIce to read a happy post for a change. Have fun in DIsneyland and dont forget me if you need someone to carry your suitcase!!....;)

Wow! Congratulations! If I were you I would go to the bank, and see how I could invest that money to make it grow over time, and make good use of those gift cards, and have fun on the trip!.... I do not think reality every set in on me years ago. I had 36,000$ after taxes... My parents took me to the lotto place etc, I had the winning ticket from Lions Quick Mart it was a quick pick....And well. I signed all the money over to my parents.. in the amount of three checks to pay off their new edition... I had a joint account with dad. I was 19 years old just graduated highschool... And I regret not keep at least 1000$ of it an investing it somehow to make it grow... I maybe at this point in time would not be facing losing everything do to poor choices mad by my family... But thats okay, in the end I can honestly state. I am the psychic who has won the lottery! .. But it goes to show you that even psychics are human ... Congratualations again I am happy for you! :) Now, do a little I got money dance :d... And take care :). Oh and I kept 200$ of that for myself it went to my pet supplies, and some holy books. Take care, - DNatureofDTrain :)

LOL! I can save some of it - I have an ING except that I'm sure the interest rate declined due to the economic meltdown as of late. The trip is going to be fun when we make it - but it's going to have to wait until it's nice again. We got snow AGAIN and it was 34 degrees last night, not what is ordinarily expected in California, even in Feb. I'll tell you this much, if I were 19 and won a lottery, you'd better believe that would be going away for ME to save for a downpayment on a home, school, or something else, as well as some of it going toward current living expenses. I would not likely sign away money to my parents UNLESS I were a minor and I had to because I was still living with them and they wouldn't release the money to me unless I did that. I was 18 when I purchased my first car and I refused to allow my dad to co-sign on it, knowing if he did that even if every cent was paid by ME, he would still have the clout to try and take it away from me whenever I rubbed him the wrong way. He was pretty ticked when I refused to allow him to co-sign, but I wasn't sorry then and I'm still not sorry now. I was an adult and it was my responsibility and I didn't want a breath of a chance of anybody trying to take away from me something that was mine. I already am dismally aware that if I had put away $20 every week since the time I was 18 (I'm 34 now) that I would have more than a couple thousand dollars socked away.... a good chunk of retirement. I just don't remember every single week!
