Mosquitoes at home...You hate it when they comes!

Mosquitoes are little creatures that are unwelcomed by anybody anywhere, particularly in our homes. You know it when they come, you feel the itch and try to subdue it, and before you know it, it's sucking blood from your legs! But when you want to kill them, they vanished into the thin air. Ah these ghostly creatures! And in Asian countries we're very much afraid of getting Dengue fever as the there were already a high number of cases. There's no way to know if you're bitten by a normal or the horrifying Aedes mosquito, until you get the symptoms a few days later! So my question is, what would you do if mosquitoes start appearing in your homes? And how to prevent them from coming back?

I will try to find out where they lurk. They usually hang around in certain parts of the home.
Then I will use a paper plate, coated with a thin layer of cooking oil. And I will start waving it frantically aroudn the area I see it flying.
This will usually catch a few of them mosquitoes as they will stick to the plate that I am waving at random.
They are impossible to catch by hand. So the plate is a good way as the surface area is bigger, it is harder for them to escape.
After that, I will make sure I change all the water in the flower pots and ensure there is no stagnant pools of water around the home. Especially in the area that they frequent.

I know this is an old post , but it's an important one . What ahgong said is true. We can all help keep mosquitoes from breeding if we don't leave water sitting around in old pots or buckets and such . It takes very little stagnant water to breed mosquitoes . Here in the Yucatan, Mexico there are cases of Dengue every year. I have heard that the mosquitoes that carry Dengue are out more in the mornings . When I do my gardening in the morning I make sure I spray with mosquitoe
spray or cover my arms and legs .

i hate Mosquitoes i cant stand them when its a hot summers night they come they are really bad but thats life take care happy postings.
