seriously way do we continue to turn a blind eye or say that there is nothing we can do when government steps out of line. I honestly think that 90% of all americans are afraid of the government. We let them take and take and take with no repercussions what so ever. We need another revolution, but this will never happen due to the 90% that are afraid to stand up and 10% is not enough to return the country to the people.

Not fear...apathy...disinterest...uninformed. If we as a society demanded more of our elected officials, if we spoke out when we were unhappy with their performance and voted them out, those who replace them would soon learn to do their jobs. How many in this country write, email or call their elected representatives? There won't be a revolution because there is no need for one. All folks need to do is to pay attention and use the power of their vote to force the bad seeds out...but that day is not likely to come.

I agree with this.
I happen support President Obama, and I worked to get my voice heard and voted for him.
If you don't like what's going on, vote. Read the facts and get the views of both sides. Make informed decisions. Contact your representatives if you have a problem with something the government is doing or if there's an issue you'd like to bring up.

I am not American, but I think that if this is the case of the government going wrong, people have to defend themselves after all legal avenues have been tried. I heard that Obama is wanting to take away your right to bear arms (and to defend yourself against burglars and other evil people. And the criminals will have a hayday, no one to fight them off.)
The trouble is if a revolution does start, there will be a great slaughter of the revolutionists since Obama is protected more so then the other presidents. It does not look like a good four years.

I do not think it is fear so much as people have bought into the lie that the gov. is the boss. When actually we elected them (hire them) and we pay them (our tax dollars) so therefore we are the boss and they are the employee. We need assert that power. Demand that they gov. as we wish and when they do not recall or impeach them. It is our apathy that they count on. We may not like what they but really what do we do about it? Do we call for them to step down? No. We grumble and say "we can't do anything about it". More people need to realize we hold the power and we need to use it. We also need to make better educated choices when we vote. We get caught up in party lines and the whole "ra ra pep rally" that is the campaign trail. Cut through the BS and really look at what we are voting for.

my friend, no need for us another revolution to change the government. Government is not the problem, for the people. the problem is the Public official that is in the government, because they cannot exercise the true concept of Government Ideas and aspiration. if you want revolution and win what government concept do you created that no people will cry for grievances?please answer me

that sort of government never existed and never will. another revolution is not the answer. it will make things only more hell for everyone and ruin everything. it might not be the best government but its the best one in the world. i rather take that then have my hands cut off for not following the king's orders.

I don't think these people are afraid of the government. I think they have been taught by the democrats, since LBJ, to depend on the government. Did you listen to Obama's townhall meeting in Florida? There were people asking for things. They believe that is what this administration is going to do for them, give them things. You have to wonder why these people can't get these things for themselves. What did they do with the money they earned, or what the government has already given them through welfare? Do you think for one minute they ask themselves who's going to be paying for these things they want or need? Do you think that it even occurred to them that someone, through hard work and paying his taxes, is the one paying for those things they want? Do you think they even care? Those who should revolt are the ones who have been carrying the burden for the lazy for the past 45 years. But as long as the government promises them (the lazy) things, we'll never win, because there's more of them than us and their numbers are growing. And those in power keep them ignorant of the fact that they could have so much more if they were a part of the economy rather than a burden. One day they will destroy our country. What will they do when a government that continued to take from the hard workers to give to the do nothings can no longer support them?

Well, now that Cheney's gone my fear of the government has significantly diminished.
Most people I know aren't really afraid of the government. We may not like what it's doing all of the time, but we really don't fear it.
We don't need another revolution, either. It seems like many Americans are just apathetic. They aren't really involved, they don't pay attention to what's going on. The percentage of people who vote in this country is just sad. Something happened in the late 60s or 70s and people just stopped caring and it's just gotten worse with each passing year, except, perhaps, this one..
