I can't think of how to express this.

Hi myLotters. I'm just hoping that someone can help me out. The topic for my poetry of the month contest is confidence. Confidence is more easily expressed (at least by me) in fiction or non-fiction format. It doesn't seem to suit poetry. At least, not that I can imagine. I'm kind of stuck. Any ideas. This needs to be in by the 28th and it's already the 10th so I'm a little alarmed. Any advice appreciated.

Why not take a different approach. Have you ever seen a confident guy/girl that you just found so attractive because of said confidence? Why not take it to the third person perspective and make up a confident character to write about. Maya Angelou is a great inspiration. Hope that helps. Good Luck.

Perhaps you should write a poem about what confidence does to a person. The benefits of being confident and/or how apportunities pass by because of lack of confidence to oneself. It has something to do with positive thinking or being optimistic. With confidence, a person can achieve more than the other person who has competence but is less agressive.

..well, maybe you could try citing a story that reflects confidence and make it as a poem. if not, you could try browsing dictionaries and get the different meaning of confidence. Collect them and put them together.. I hope you could do it.
