Altho many are mistakenly believing that the vote is over and the "stimulus" is passed, that's not quite true. The Senate and the House each passed their own version -- so even tho both houses passed it, they still have to send it to committee to iron out the differences and then back for another vote.
SO! We have time, still!!! Please everyone, if you value your way of life, if you value your children's and grandchildren's futures, PLEASE go and sign the petition. And don't stop talking about this and passing the word, until they finally have no choice but to HEAR US and LISTEN!!Here's an interesting quote from one of our Democratic Senators:
[b]We have been guided by a republican administration who believes in this simplistic notion that people who have wealth are entitled to keep it.
— Rep. Jim Moran (D-Va.)

This is the way they are thinking. But the reality is that this bill is going to HURT us! The everyday people, the people who were already laid off, the people who will soon be laid off. Our government is trying to go down the same road the Japanese went down after their market crash -- it left them in a recession for the last 20 years!!! Tell our leaders NO, we want to LEARN from the pain of the Japanese! We want to learn from the pain of our parents and grandparents, when this was tried in the 30's and 40's -- and failed.
President Obama stated that what the banks did (some of them) with the first bailout money is "the height of irresponsibility". He was adamant about changing that behavior.
Yet, his Congress is basically doing their own version of the same thing. They are like kids at a dessert buffet -- reaching and grabbing all they see and want! No restraint.
Let's make it adamantly clear to President Obama that this Congress is also behaving completely irresponsibly -- and we won't have it!
Sign the petition, please. http://nostimulus.com/
The health care package included in this stimulus, among other things, allows for RATIONING of MEDICATIONS!!!!
C'mon, even those who voted for Obama should be outraged at this point.

Ahhh....well that is the truth. You earn it....you keep it...you spend it how ever you want. Is the gov. going to tell all of us what we can do with our money? What is incentive to do good and be a success if it means that the gov. gets to take it?
I did the work so therefore it is my money and keep your grubby hands off it.

See, this is why bipartisanship with the Republicans is not going to work because the Republicans do not want this to work. It was the Republicans that got us into this whole mess, the Democrats have to dig the U.S. out because let's face it, the Republicans are going to act like spoiled, greedy, brats, until someone tells them to knock it off.

I'm signing every damn thing opposing this insanity that passes before my eyes. I can't believe how quickly our country is falling to crap under less than one month of a new administration! The spendulous, closing gitmo, suspending the trials of the 9/11 murderers, letting the Cole murderers off the hook, free health care for ILLEGAL aliens, shoving socialism down our throats, APOLOGIZING to islamic fanatics (WTF?!?), tax cheats put into high office (including the one that runs the freaking IRS!) and so very much more, and nobody cares, those of us who speak against it are attacked and labeled racist - what the hell is that about? For Christ's sakes, this needs to stop!

Same reason everyone else who's been reincarnated lately has - trolls. A lot of good folks got banned for standing up to religious trolls and had to start over. When I am not being called a racist for not supporting 0bama in the political section of mylot, I am being called a racist for daring to speak out against radical islam's horrific treatment of women and children and speaking out against the threat of jihad and islamification of the west (even though it is a religion and not a race, they still call me racist LOL).
