Hello there!
Valentine's Day might have lost its charm in your country but here in India, it is just catching up year by year. Actually, it is not an Indian festival. It is a festival of the west so we are still getting used to it so we are all the more excited with each passing year.
The European and American people have been celebrating it for ages so may be that is one of the reasons it seems to have lost its charm for you. Personally, I do believe that there needs to be one special day which you can spend with your loved one.

OH MY!! Valentines day is fast approaching dear. I'm quite excited cause I'm with my family in that precious moment of time and not with someone special. Honestly speaking, I dont have a boyfriend right now, though I always feel the love that others shown me(friends and family). Being love is something that makes us happy and continue living despite of the trials were facing. :D right? its like were special for them.:D

I think its just the international day for everyone to lose their head. :) . Poor Saint Valentines who was beheaded on valentines day, he must look down on our silliness and shake our heads....
Puts on anti cupid spray :D ...
Yes, it is a very special day...
I am not really into romance but I am into love..
And for me its tradition to sing all those love songs, and share poems..
On Valentines day :)

Well, these are some of the reasons why some people like me are not excited this coming Valentine's Day, first maybe because they don't have money to spend for a Date or to buy something for their partner, second their partner isn't there (long distance relationship), and lastly they might not found their soul mate or someone who can be their Valentine.. In my case, the reason why I'm the excited or I don't feel the special of this Valentine's Day its because of second reason.. My boyfriend isn't staying near me.. We are in a long distance relationship and its hard for us to celebrate it even we want too.. Maybe, I'll just greet him then after that its over.. Nothing really makes it special for me this coming Valentine's.. I don't have any plans this 14.. I will just stay at home and watch movie or sleep or review for my board exam..
For those people like you who were near with their love one, you can be very excited because you can spend it with him/her (sorry i don't know whether you're a girl or a boy).. Well, just enjoy this coming valentine's day and hopefully you will be having great time together..

Hey Kissie
I totally agree with you. Well i hope you and your bf enjoy whenever you guys meet. However, as far as my gender is concerned, i mentioned in post that my bf will not be here on Vday, that means i am girl[em]blink[/em hehe
You might have missed on that.

Yes. Valentines lost its charm. Men complain it is too commercial so they can get out of it. Men want to end romance and live a boring existence where couples fart on one another and watch Grey's Anatomy on the TV. I think men need to start being more romantic because it is really sick to see such crude displays. Men are under a lot of pressure from friends because they are teased for being whipped or other nonsense. There is nothing wrong with showing your significant other you care. Men need to start acting more like gentlemen and less like savages. They should stop listening to their friends because they are morons.

Some people are single, and try not to think about Valentines day much, or some are already married for a long time and just think of it as "another day".
But if you are in a relationship with that someone "special".
Then you should celebrate it. :)

Well I believe it's the type of people we are. For me it just another day but that could be my age talking. wait nope.. Just me.
I usually don't do anything special except maybe go out to eat. I can't remember the last time I actually got my wife after we got married and before we got married.
Although this year I asked her what she wanted and I say I wanted to get her a big bear but she told me not to waste the money on that. I quess she understands my feelings towards her she just would rather be at home with me and enjoy are time togetheir rather than get things.
Like I said I think it depends on the type of people we are.

I never have considered Valentine's Day as charming. I think they are more American celebrates than European. First time I heard of Valentine's Day was ~ 15 years ago, people started to swap with love notes, make a mail boxes at schools but kids didn't really get the point! We sent love notes to everyone, boys to boys, girls to girls, girls to boys... Now when I am adult and I have a lovely partner beside me I don't really feel the need to have an extra loving day. Of course, we light a candle and share with little cute presents but it isn't traditional for me.

I think it's gotten really comercial. It's like people are worrying about what the are going to buy, but they forget why they're doing it in the first place.

I wasn't super excited about Valentine's Day this year, I was just happy my Valentine and I were in a good place. He asked what I wanted to do and I told him I didn't care as long as I got to do it with him. The day before I received an email about a party at a place that gives dance lessons and I told him I had come up with something for us to do but I didn't say what. We went to dinner and at the dance party they were teaching West Coast Swing. We had a nice time and wnebt back home after to have dessert.
