Which girl will say no to celebrating Valentines?
It seems that that is a day where many people will celebrate their love for each other. A day when places are packed. A day when things are extra expensive cos it is repackaged to suit Valentine's celebration as an excuse.
And it is also a day where we renew our love for out partners.
It is also a day where we actually make the effort to put aside some time from our busy schedule to celebrate our love for each other.
So, who doesn't want to celebrate Valentine's Day when they could?

Tell me about it. It is going to be a nightmare going out this weekend.
If only I could celebrate it at home.
Nice music. Good movie on DVD. And a fully delicious home cooked meal!
Sigh... used that last year. No excuses this year already! :p

In our practice, we might not celebrate the valentine's day. In a marriage, the couple is like teeth and tongue. It is unlikely we never have any conflict, but the same choice, goal, maturity and compromise guide us to a balance.
While we need a valentine's day as an outstanding reminder, we need more to present and express our love for the other in our daily life.

Hello my friend, I do not celebrate Valentines Day, to me it's just February 14th, no different from February 13th or February 15th, it's just a big commercial farce anyhow, an excuse for the shops to cash in and charge overinflated prices for flowers, why wait till Feb 14th to give flowers to your loved ones, unless you are feeling guilty that is! Buy flowers on Feb 15th and you can guarantee they'll be far cheaper than the day before, just a cynical wolf talking ;0)

Hi there Youless. Although we have our own holiday of love on 24th of February called "Dragobete", we will still celebrate this as well, as it is just an extra chance to show our love to one another. Although i don't enjoy all the commercial value that has been added to the holiday i do enjoy going with my girlfriend and looking at all the gadgets that are for sale every year (just look, don't buy :D). I have bought some things for my girl and i am still thinking what i will give her on the 14th.

hello youless
yes i plan on spending the day on Valentine's Day that is coming up here soon with my hubby. i plan on fixing homemade pepper steak for dinner on Saturday night served with a side dish of broccoli salad, and banana pudding for dessert. yum. i am also planning on putting together some kind of a gift basket for my hubby to enjoy with some of the different kinds of snack foods that he enjoys eating and i might even put him a drink in his gift basket. lol i will have to give that one some thought as if i want him drinking or not. lol i hope that you and your hubby enjoys Valentine's Day this weekend.
take care and have a beautiful evening.

I never liked the holiday, I think that if you really love your girlfriend or boyfriend or husband or wife, you wouldn't wait for this specific day to get them something that you think they will like. Plus, lot's of people like to get jewelry, but again, you can get something more meaningful, or go somewhere with that person that you know they will remember forever, rather than giving a gift that they might not wear all the time and easily forget about.
