Well I've just been having a browse around the net and came across this saying
Surfing on the Clock.... new one to me.
Apparently it means browsing on the net for your own personal use in working hours.
So what job do you do and does it allow you to Surf on the clock ?....

Hi there scorpio19
I can't say that I have heard of this saying either which I guess would come as a surprise being British an' all that! It does make sense though. In my last job everybody in the company had access to the internet and they had a strict rule about personal emailing. I used to surf the internet all the time as I was on a reception ansering the phone and couldn't leave the desk. So if the phone wasn't ringing or there was no one in the reception I didn't have much else to do! Back then though I knew nothing about ebay, myLot or facebook!

Hi Humbug,
Don't worry about your typos with me, I'm the queen of typos as you know..lol
I think a lot of companies have software now that monitors their employees usage of the net, so it must be harder than in the good old days but yes imagine nowadays with all the sites we use we'd never get any work done, that's why I work from home, well I'm suppose to be working..lol

Hi scorpio,
I'm not very good with computer language, I was just getting to learn some but this is another new one that I haven't about, still you learn something everyday. Love and hugs.

hello scorpio
i have never heard that saying before yet about being on the internet, Surfing on the Clock. so it means browsing on the internet for my own personal use in working hours. duh, ok does that kind of mean like for when that i am logged onto Mylot? lol so i guess that one of the things that i would consider as a very small job would be to be logged onto Mylot's website, either responding to discussions, and/or starting my own Mylot discussions, and yes, this allows me to be Surfing on the Clock. and that is a new one for me also. thanks so much for sharing the news about Surfing on the Clock with us all around here at Mylot. let us all have a blast Surfing on the Clock!
take care and have a beautiful evening.
