The Shawshank Redemption

I saw The Shawshank Redemption in dvd last Christmas 2008 in our house and I was really impressed with the story. It was very wonderful and extraordinary, Stephen King really amazed me with this plot, well this film is directed by Frank Darabont, the same film maker who directed the 2000 movie Green mile also based on the book written by Stephen King. The Shawshank Redemption primarily narrated by Red played by Morgan Freeman, it tells a story of survival, hope and dreams, it starred Tom Robbins. The drama took place at the Shawshank prison where Tim Robbins character made a tremendous reform. The highlight in which Robbins escaped from prison by digging a hole at his prison cell was spectacular and thrilling. But over all, it was a heavy drama and highly emotional film that made you think of the good convicts and not all that bad things about the prison cell.

I agree this is a fabulous movie. I saw it for the first time quiet a few years ago (not sure how old it is now) and still like to watch it every now and then. Stephen King is an excellent author and often when his books are made into movies they do not do him justice however this is certainly not the case with the Shawshank Redemption.

Yes, I agree it is a good movie. It will keep you hook from the beginning to the end. The main character was very smart and he used it to get what he wanted and helped out his friend in the process.

yeah,it is an amazing film and i love it very much.It tells me i must keep hope anytime an anywhere no matter how tough life i am experiencing,just like what Andy did in th prison.What have redemption is not only freedom ,but also the faith you have...

i have watched this movie too and i loved it thoroughly.......its a very good movie and I'll recommend it to anyone..... and yes, the last 15 minutes of the movie are just fantastic... i also like the characters and the acting......its worth watching again.....they way in which it shows how hope conquers fear.....its just amazing...:-) Thanks for sharing... have a nice day...:-)

This is one of my favorite movie. I just love this and I've actually bought an original DVD of it. I think whoever created Prison Break was inspired by The Shawshank Redemption.

I must agree with you. It is one of those that keeps your attention all throughout even though you don't expect it to. I have watched it several times and liked it each time! A very good movie.

I have seen that movie a few times, and I find it inspiring. Though it does not depict prison life more strongly or closer to how it can be, I hope it gives others a chance to think about our prison system, and what we are doing to people. There are many innocent people who are sent to jail, and even more who are sent for long periods of time for non-violent reasons. Sometimes, these people are destroyed in prison and do not get the therapy they needed before they went there, just to be released in a society who does not know how to handle them and even strips them of their right to vote to alienate them furthermore.

I have also seen this movie. I think it was one of Stephen Kings best movies of all time. You sure do not know what can come next in it. And I do agree with you on the ending being fantastic. Hope really never does die. Stephen King did alot of really good movies, you should check them out.

I agree with you that this is a movie great. I don't have a copy of this one but I am going to download one soon. Exccellent performance in this film. Made it very believable drama and one the viewer can relate to. I am a big movie fan and I am always looking for movies to watch. If you are the same way you can read all kinds of movie reviews at caio. I read them regularly and always find movies to watch that I hadn't previously been aware of . You can even make money there like you do here.

Shawshank redemption is gud muvi......but we cant call shawshank redemption best movie....lots of better movies than shawshank redemption

I like Shawshank redemption too. The ending was quite unpredictable, and I really love that twist there, when he finally escaped. :) It's quite an old movie by Morgan Freeman, but it was worth every bit of my time watching it. Five popcorns for it!

Hi.Shawshank Redemption is really a must-see movie.I even got it on dvd so that we can watch it anytime.I agree with you,this is one movie that has a wonderful ending.I admire the patience and courage,not to mention coming up with a well-planned escape,of Tim Robbins' character. I agree with everyone this is a great movie, The cast did a great job. Having to survive all that time in jail for something that you did not do. I would also recommend this movie to anyone.

The Shawshank Redemption is an exceptional movie. I saw it when it was released on the big screen with some friends and it remained until today, our best movie :)
