Is anybody really there?

This is the question I keep asking myself, I feel in such a funny mood today I cannot explain it but let me tell you why I feel like this:- Last night as mentioned in another discussion hubby and I went on a ghosthunting vigil last night, now nothing associated with the pub we were in happened but the lady that hosted it was a clairvoyant and so every so often she would give messages out to people. Now at the beginning she said she had someone with her that had died with throat cancer that it was a man and he had been in the forces and that he had died a brutal death. I felt the hair on the back of my neck go because my Grandfather had died in that way, with throat cancer and was in the forces but then she said that she felt he was from the area we were in and my grandfather was not, so I never said anything but something just keeps telling me that it was him. During the night she walked past me, she stopped and looked at me and told me that I had a lady with me, a small lady and that it was my Grandmother, and she told me that I had to let go that was all she said. Now at that I just burst into tears because in fact my Grandmother died over 20 years ago and I have never got over it, never and it proper upset me because I feel that I have waited SO long to hear from her and when I did I could not handle it. At the end of the night as she was leaving she turned to me and said "if you need me, you know where I am" I now have her phone number. This whole thing has affected me deeply, part of me wants to phone her and see her but the other part says no. Plus we are going to another night with her in two weeks anyway for which we have paid for so I guess I may as well leave it and see what happens then. But she spoke to my mum in law and what she told her was awesome and she even spilled some secrets that only me hubby and mum in law knew!!! I am proper confused now and today feel so down I dont know why. Have any of you ever visited a clairvoyant or medium or whatever, did they tell you things they could not possibly know or did they use guesswork? What is your take on all this, believe or not?

I have never been to a psychic or anybody else like that before but I would like to one day. I think most of us would be at least interested in experiencing such a thing. I like to watch a psychic woman who comes on tv sometimes, she used to appear at lot on the Montel Williams talk show. I can't remember her name at this time though. I guess I need a psychic! lol I hope you can come to peace with the information this woman shared with you gemini_rose. Try to hold on until you are able to see or talk to her again. Don't let it eat you up inside since there is nothing you can do about it right now. Take care.

I agree that some are very good and very accurate. I also agree that some are charlottons. I think at the end of the day it's all about what you feel and what you want to believe. Blessings-Anora

I would not say that I believe at the time it just really upset me what she said but on thinking about it more she never really said much to point at anything in particular. I am going to see her again soon so maybe she will say more, it just intrigues me.

for someone like me who lives in the orient, it is not new to some of us here. Actually, i am already use to hearing such stuffs but hearing what they have to say concerning me is different, it still drives the chills up my spine! My piece of unsolicited advise is to just follow what she initially told you to do, is to let go of the past. No use holding on to it, we all have to move on, that is if you really love those people in your past who passed away, do them a big big favor, let 'em go. They would love you for it when you see each other up there. No need for you to see the seer. gauging from how you were affected when she told that would only make you feel jittery, so don't. If you believe in prayers then it is a wake up call for you to do it, now and learn to let go.

Hello gemini_rose. It seems that there is such a thing as superstition because I have often heard people talk about this when they go to a fortune-teller for something in their life. And it sounds so true when they talk about it. I think that I believe this somewhat. Take care, friend.

I've never met one myself but I did want to one time because my two dogs were stolen out of my yard. One was a german shepherd named Sissy and a black lab named Candy. I don't know any clairvoyants or psyhics because I don't know where to find one. My dogs have been missing now for 2 years and almost 3 months but I can't stop thinking about them and pray that I find them soon. Sissy has a microchip however Candy doesn't. We were in the works in getting one for her but hadn't gotten there yet.

What a shame about your dogs it would have been interesting to see if a clairvoyant could have helped you to find them.

I guess I'd have to experience it first hand. Some of these people work their whole lives to learn how to fool others. It's quite possible she just guessed and managed to guess correctly. I think certain people are extremely good judges of character. Without knowing you at all she could probably tell you just about anything you wanted to know about yourself, and since you were already feeling like she could possibly know something, you allowed yourself to believe what she was saying. Does that make any sense? I don't know. Personally I do have a slight belief in the paranormal. I at one point did believe I had ESP, although it could have been purely coincidental. It's not something I've really done too much thinking on.

I know what you are saying, I am going to see her again in a couple of weeks so maybe will find out more then. She told my mum in law that she had the gift and that my mum in law could do what she did!
