For those out there who are self proclaimed Atheists and Agnostics, let me ask you why Christianity is attacked so ferociously? Why aren't Islamics, Jewish and Muslims approached the same way?

Perhaps because the islams, jewish, and muslims aren't in people's face daily. I'm not putting it down, but there are christian references all over our society, based on the fact that this country was founded by god-fearing christian people. They have every right to have their beliefs out there, as far as i'm concerned. Some people just get tired of it. Myself, I actually attend a christian church as well as a buddhist church. By the way, your "self-proclaimed" statement is a bit of an attack in itself. Why would they be self proclaimed? Why aren't they just atheists and agnostics? My niece is agnostic, but she was born into it. There are also "sundays only" christians running about doing things (and saying things) that i would hardly call christian. And my devout catholic friend once told me that i display more christian values on a daily basis than most of those people that go to church with her every sunday. There are always the loudmouths of every race, religion, country, that make any one of us look bad for something. I think we should stop lumping everybody into categories and stop judging each other.

In my experience, the "self proclaimed" atheists and agnostics are the people bashing Christianity. These are the people who are just as bad in flaunting their beliefs as those Christians that so many people despise, as they too thrust their opinions in people's faces. This post is not in reference to people who hold beliefs and don't feel the need to explain themselves but rather are comfortable with their choices and decisions; instead it is directed towards all of the atheists and agnostics that go out of their way to make their beliefs known very loudly and brashly, and bash Christianity. For those who say Christians are bad, I have experienced my share of in your face propaganda from all these different religions, Christians and Atheists alike.

It's funny, how those people's (over)exuberance regarding something that is supposed to be good can wind up making them look bad, isn't it? And instead of their good intentions swaying us to accept them, it sways us to just want to knock 'em in the head! Ooops. Sorry. My bad. Aloha!

What's funny is the immaturity in which you appraoch such an argument. I am not attempting to sway anyone, it is a simple question, one that you couldn't answer like an adult after my rebuttle. Nice. A multitude of words is not proof of a prudent mind.

I'm just going to hazzard a guess here. But, I think it's because of all the religions, Christians are the ones that are always trying to push their religion on others, whether they want it or not.
