Do you think anyone truly wins??? I sit and watch the wars that go on and I wonder... does anybody ever really win? World War I, the civil war, World War II, who won and what did they win? Well, we, the USA won our independance and the right to pray and think of our own accord. That's a win. The blacks were freed of their slavery and that too was a win. But with every win there seems to come other battles. We won our independance but we have had to fight people wanting to change the very statutes on which our country was formed. The reason so many people gave their lives. We have a huge racial problem in my country that came after the blacks were freed. I know we are not the only country that has fought and after had many more battles crop up in it's wake. Isn't world peace the only real win? Isn't that really what it would take to call any war a win??? Is it possible? Yes, I believe it could be achieved but only when man finds that working as ONE people will feed more hungry. Working together instead of against will clothe more and house more. We were not created to fight, we were created to live in harmony with all of God's creation... INCLUDING each other. Yea, i am a romantic and a dreamer and a man perhaps born out of time, but John Lennon said it in his song... Imagine........................

Nice but unfortunately not in our human nature. See, in essence every argument we have is a little 'war.' The winner gets to have his/her side of the argument accepted. It's probably a deeply rooted survival instinct. That's why even nations who may have never been involved in a war still have other types of problems and internal battles to fight. We may get along, especially for a common purpose, but our instinct to fight for whatever concerns us, to accumulate supplies so we can be comfortable even at the expense of others (maybe even to be the 'alpha-dog', since more money means higher social status), well stuff like that will always lead to internal squabbles. For your desire to have world peace... well something major would have to happen in order for something like that to take place. It would have to be something that would unite all humans against a common enemy. Because as a human race as of now we are not evolved enough to have world peace, sad as it is to say so. Maybe when we learn to eliminate greed we can live like that.
