i think it differs for every person but to me if a kid knows from when he is little it would be best he was raised to never be IN the closet so that he can avoid the whole process

I don't think there should be a certain age....16th birthday by the way I'm gay kind of thing. I do think it should be after puberty. Other than that....its a personal preference when to tell others. You don't get to make the decision to be gay but I do think that you should make the decision to tell others or not. I wish we lived in a world where it didn't matter but in some parts of the world it matters......a LOT.

I dont know that there is a right or wrong answer to this question. People who are gay come out when it is right for them to come out. Personally I came out when I was 14. That was the right time for me. I felt comfortable with my sexuality, and I felt the need to let my family know. At the same time i have a few friends who have never come out of the closet. And that works for them. This is something deeply personal to gay people, and is something that we only do once. When the time is right for the person they will just know.

Thats very true and of course some ppl are ALWAYS "out"....
