I'm a stay-at-home mom of 3 and 4 year old boys. I love them dearly, but this has been a long and cold winter (except for the last 2 days which were beautiful and in the 50s). They are both very active and lately I've felt super stressed. I need to learn how to handle my stressful times better, and in a way that is more healthy for me. So I want to know what you do when you feel like you're about to lose it.

I am a stay at home momma as well, I have two children. Little boy who is 6 and a 17 month old daughter who's extremely devious. She's not a sleeper so i am up for hours on end with her and the stress level is always threw the roof. What I do is find things that i can enjoy while being at home. Mylot is one now, baking cookies, looking threw old pictures, making scrapebooks pages, and so on. It eases the mind and helps control the urge to scream and kick something when the stress level is maxed out.
Good Luck!

Mylot. Lol. I am a single stay at home mom which makes it really hard. I have a son that has heart and lung problems and is not able to go out if there is a bit of wind or cold. And I live in newfoundland so there is always wind! We are stuck in the house pretty much all winter. When i am really stressed with being in the house or when the kids get stressed and they do they are only 3 and 17months but they wants to get out to. I find crafts to do with them. I also love to bake so when my baby goes to sleep for a nap I get my 3 year old and we bake and bake and bake! When I find that I need time to myself I gets the kids to bed and ill sit back on my bed and have a hot cup of tea its called tension tamer! It is really good! I also love to paint I will put the kids in the toy room which is my livingroom put up the gate so they cant come out and sit at my kitchen table and paint! Also if you feel yourself really stressed a good way to let it out is to get a nice hot bath! When the kids are asleep of course! I have had many days where i was so stressed that i would sit down and cry! You could also play hide and seek with them. And "forget" to find them hahahaha! Just kidding! If you like to do crafts its always a good thing to do is cross stitch it helps with stress. Take up YOGA you can also get the kids involved in this. Get a yoga movie and put it on the tv if you start doing it they will fallow! Or laugh at you either way youll be less stressed!
Hope this helps
