I found this site wherein I can download free games for my 3-year-old daughter. My daughter loves the Baby Smash program she is having so much fun with the shapes that has faces and whenever we click on it it giggles. It's so kid-friendly and it talks too! I believe you can download it for free in their site but you can also donate to them a few cents if you guys like. I also downloaded the program called G-Compris it nice but it's kinda complicated though for my toddler. She doesn't know how to hold the mouse yet but I'm teaching her. Have you guys ever tried something like this for your kids? If there is any other educational computer game you guys could recommend I'd really appreciate it if you post a link. Thanks in advance!

Hello my friend yuna15 Ji, Well , with my experience, everytime my grand daughter down-loaded those games from internet, my computer did not work properly, so in local market lot many CDs are available and I make use of them. Also, I do not want taht children should get addicted to computer/TV. Just think about this. may god bless your toddler and have great time.

Oh your computer must be able to handle the games of course. It must have enough memory, disk space and others. She should be careful though about downloading games, because some sites that has it might contain spywares. The one I downloaded is completely harmless and it's educational too! It teaches her the alphabet, numbers, colors and shapes! She's enjoying it. Computers are a very good educational tool we just need to guide our children on how to properly use it. What we should avoid is having them play violent games...especially at a very young age.

I understand what you mean. My daughter does not stay in front of the computer for a long time she mostly plays with the toys I bought her and I have been teacher her a few things already. Whenever she's in front of the computer I always supervise her of course. We are using an LCD monitor so it's not harmful compared to the regular CRT monitor. About playing the garden, how I wish we have it. We have a very small house and a very small place for a garden so we just let her play outside with us supervising her of course. Thank you for all your tips I appreciate it.

Hello my friend yuna15 Ji, Well, as you find better, but my point is not to introduce computers/Tvs/any otehr harmful electronic gadets at this early age. Let's adopt someother means. I would like to hint, when such things were not available and things were better. For this my hubby would teach while playing in garden, by counting plants/leaves/fruits, at the same time introducing domestic animals etc. may god bless them and have a great time.

Fisher Price has great toys and has some online games for pre-schoolers. Here's their site: http://www.fisher-price.com/fp.aspx?st=10&e=gamesLanding&mcat=game_infant,game_toddler,game_preschool&site=us Counting and letter games and the like and for the preschool games she only has to press a key for most of them.

Sorry, I just remembered that Fisher Price had games online and went there only to give you the link, I didn't really explore the site much. Go over to mostfun.com and see if there are any downloadable games she would like, they have some fun and simple games there but I haven't looked at all the ones they offer, just one ones I like. I know I'm now very helpful but I'm looking at a deadline right now on a bunch or articles so I have to be less than useful to myLot!

I'm so glad that you've found something for your 3 year old and that she's really enjoying it! The fact that she's really enjoying it means that she's really learning! Kudos to you and your little girl! Purrs, Catwoman=^..^= & Mija

I have tried using www.orisinal.com in playing games that are recommended for children, but I am now sure if you can download the games. You may also try to search online for more sites..

Our kids are too young to use the pc but our oldest can play Mario Paint on Super Nintendo. It has a mouse and is very similar to Paint on the pc. She loves it but isn't very good at it yet. She does know how to switch colors and shapes and how to erase things though.

My daughter doesn't know how to handle the mouse and keyboard so I do it for her and then I teach her whatever she sees in the screen like the alphabets, colors, and shapes.

You'd probably be surprised how fast she could learn it. My daughter learned it in a matter of maybe 10-15 minutes. I was shocked when she did it so fast. I used to do it your way too. They still learn a lot that way.

My 4 year old nephew just loves the computer, He's been using it since he was about 2, and is just amazing. we have a few cd's that he plays I think be Jumpstart. But we have also found a couple of free sites and really this is where he spends most of his time. PBSkids.com and Nickjr.com are his favorites. They have games with all the popular characters from the shows including Dora, Diego and Wonderpets.
