I found this article online that woman who has excess fat in the abdomen has a very high risk for heart diseases and certain cancers here is the link to the article http://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/Press_releases/2008/09_23_08.html A few days ago, while I was inside the grocery, there was a dietitian there so I consulted and I was advised to do exercise at least 10-15 minutes a day. Which I think is enough time even if I'm working. No I'm not gonna say my waistline LOL. But it's above the limit. So to my fellow women, if your waistline is more than 35 better start exercising for a healthy living! If any of you has anything that you guys do that makes you fit please do share as well.. Looking forward to see your responses. Happy myLotting!

It's heart disease mostly...according to statistics women with the given amount of waistline has greater risk! The lesser inches, the less risk but DOES NOT remove the risk...

That's interesting. I haven't ever heard that before... I don't have anything to worry about i guess. my waistline is 34 and some days i'm even a 32 lol but those are tightish on me. I work out every day. I think as long as your healthy and you work out then you should be fine even if your waistline is above 35 inches.. maybe not too much, like in the 50's but still...

My mom just discussed that article with me but she found it in a article in a magazine. I haven't had a size 35 waist in a long time so I am seriously at risk. I wish our stores would have a dietitian in so I could talk to her/him. I guess the first thing to do is stop drinking any form of pop eve diet. and only drink water, and flavored waters and crystal light.and walking is good that is what I would do as soon as I am able because of the weather. I wish you luck though.

Yeah, but everything has got its risk.. haha =D There's no escape from it.. Exercising do keeps one fit and healthy, but it does not mean we are able to escape from all these illness too.. hehe ^_^ BUt still, prevention is always better than cure ^_^ MAybe u can try walking for a start, and making sure that u MUST SWEAT, if not. it's not gonna be of any help.. Increase intensity or duration as time goes by, follow by a jog eventually.. OVertime, u are bound to lose weight, because i have done it.. haha =D Even a lean guy like me, managed to lose 6kgs in just 2 months because of my regular runs.. hehe ^_^

Hi yuna! That is good to know! I don't know what my waistline is but I'm sure that I could use to lose some inches! I hate to exercise! I do alot of walking usually because that is the only way I can get around. But, since it is still winter here where I live it is still too cold and we still are getting snow and I don't do as much walking in the winter months as I do in the spring and summertime. I know that I should be doing alot more exercising and should be eating healthier.

Hi yuna, Thanks for this info. At 34, I should really be looking closer at my health if I want to live healthier and longer for my twin daughters. Currently my waistline is at 30" (LOL!) And I am exerting effort to do some exercise everyday. I must admit that it really is a challenge for me since I am not fond of any physical activities - except for swimming but it takes a lot of money to do that. So to help me get in shape, I cook more vegetables and fish instead of the usual pork and beef. I am also helping the twins to trim down since they are also overweight. I am still dealing with jumping rope and hula hoop 100X everyday. That's the advice given to me by Dr. Twins

wow 30 inches! I envy you! Honestly I'm not in cooking especially vegetables so I usually buy those at home. I will definitely need to do my exercise more everyday. Hmm hoola hoop, that's not a bad idea at all!

35 inches waistline is a disaster waiting to happen, it is really bad for the heart and movement. To reduce that size, I will advise you to do Yo-Yo regularly or dance you way to better health. Happy Mylotting!

Your infomation is correct. But the women like your description have to do exercise not 10-15 minutes, but at least for half an hour. It's better to walk in open air in the early morning or evening. At the same time foods with fat and red meats should be avoided. In the food items vegetables and fruits have to be included.

I was talking about myself. I have a job and I don't have much time even for an exercise but 10-15 minutes will work for me.

I have heard that as well,it is difficult to excersise at the moment as the weather is so cold, but I do run up and down stair afew times on purpose to get my heartbeating, but they do say walking is the best thing to help you keep in trim,I had a bad back last year and was just getting back to fitness then I caught that dreadful flu bug,six months It took me to get over it,the doctor gave me to lots of anti biotics as I kept infecting so I have gained a few pounds and must get it off,I have ordered one of those circular excercisers which you stand on and twist and a slant block where you can lay up rather than flat.So wish me luck .

Hi yuna15! haha..Alright my friend, I won't insist on asking about your waistline. I am trying to trim down on my waistline too but I am kind lazy in doing exercises for the tummy. lol..I think my house chores every morning is enough exercise for me at the moment but I am still trying to find some time to do some brisk walking..maybe, in the near future I can really do that. Every morning, I sweep and clean the front and back yard, weed the plants, do some gardening and water the plants which consumes at least two hours. I really sweat from this chore and I enjoy it. After the yard and garden, I clean our house. That made me lose pounds and I did cut on my rice intake too. Take care and have a great day! lovelots..faith

I really do need to exercise but with my limitations I find it very painful. I have been doing stretches, though, and it feels good. I do what I can but that's not much. I'm just glad I'm still able to get around on my own!
