What was the worst gift received or given for Valentine's Day?

In grade school, we held a Pollyanna to exchange Valentine's gifts. Mom bought for me a children's book to give to the boy whose name I picked in the drawing. When he opened it up, he looked at it, then threw it on the floor, crying "That's what I think of the gift - and you." I confessed that I didn't like him either.
The boy who picked my name out of the bucket did not give me anything at all, claiming he had no money.
We all blamed the teacher for inflicting needless embarrassment and pain!I hope all you MyLotters have a good Feb. 14. My husband, Dad and I are going out to eat, but I don't know who will be paying yet (story of my life).
So, can you share your answer to the above question?

In school we just gave cards. And candy if you were nice.. haha
Worst v-day gift.. well I have to say, that I never gotten a gift from a boyfriend on Christmas, V-day, or my Bday ever before.
My husband came home with diamond snowflake necklace for me last night. He's going to buy me a new chain for it this weekend. My b-day he bought me dog from a Newfoundland Rescue center.
So I have to say, that any holiday I get a gift or just acknowlegment that its a special day is better than ones I had before my husband :)

Hi Janet! That was really a terrible thing to have to go
through for a child! I don't remember my Valentines Days as
a child but I do know that they were kind of similar and that
probably is why I don't remember them! Most Valentine's Days
I don't get anything. Even though my boyfriend and I were
living together last year I don't think we celebrated. We
were not in a very good place at that time. This year he had
better make up for it!

My current boyfriend bought me a pair of pajama pants... They were cute... Betty boop, which I love, But they were 3x. I wear like a medium or large...... I felt like he thought that I was a fat as*. LOL. Looking back, he just didn't pay attention to the size, but at the time it really hurt my feelings. Money is not an issue for us this year, my mom runs a gift shop and has let us pick out gifts to give to each other and in return we get to work and help her.
