I am a guy only 5ft 5 in. Is there anything I can do to get taller. Its like the most important thing I want is to get taller. Some of my friends are pretty tall. I dont know if its genetics or what sports you play. My friend is like 4 inches taller then his dad. Thats pretty amazing. I want to get to like 5ft 10in or something. Is there some exercises to do? I feel so short

Biologically you can't do anything to make yourself taller except eat right if you are still growing. I don't know how old you are but you guys grow taller well into their 20s so you may not be done getting taller yet. How tall you become is partially determined by your genetics, if your parents are short then you will be short too, and partially by your nutrition. If you don't get all the vitamins and nutrients you need then your body will not be able to grow properly.

No there is nothing you can do to make yourself taller. Concentrate on making yourself a strong personal both physically and mentally instead of worrying about height. There are other qualities that make a man besides height. Are you of average size for your culture and are there shorter women in your culture. Where shoes that give you extra height is the only other thing I can think of. Good luck to you in regards to you emotions and I hope you find peace with yourself.

Height is more of genetics than any other external factor. How old are you? Guys usually continue increasing their heights even when they are already in their early twenties. But you know what, 5 feet 5 inches is a normal height for boys in our country. there are many boys who stand shorter than you do.

What's your age? If you are not yet 21 then you still have a chance.
Try pressing your left and right thumbs 24 times a day and you'll gain an inch or two...I'm not joking because when you do.. a certain gland excretes hormones (forgot what that is) but a good physical therapist told me that once
No harm in trying it.. and you won't lose anything :P
so try it bradah! :D

Yes, I do think its genetics. In fact most of our traits and how we look are dependent on genes which we inherit from our parents. Short height does not look good at the first glance, however, if you learn proper grooming and manners and know the right attitude to carry yourself around, height should not be a very big problem. I have see quite a few short people who are actually handsome just by their personality and how they carry themselves.

So do I sometimes, and here I'm 5'8". LOL
I don't think there is any kind of exercise that will help to make you taller. It's all in your genetics. I see that you are a 16 year old male. Is this right? You're still young. I'm pretty sure I've heard boys can keep growing until they are 18 years old. But remember, this isn't always the case.
I got my height from my dad. He's 6'1", while my mom is only maybe 4'9". She's never actually let me measure her height, though I've wanted to! LOL My sister on the other hand is 5'3", I believe.
Don't worry too much about your height. Height isn't the most important thing in the world, and if you're meant to be tall or short, then you should just accept it and be happy with who you are.

How old are you? Perhaps theres still time to become taller. Just eat a lot of vegetables, take some food supplement with iron and I think drinking milk could help also.
I think there is also a special exercise for that, but I am not very familiar with it. Perhaps you could try to search it over the net.

Theres no way to make you any taller.
I do have to say that my husband was 5'4 until he hit 19 then he shot up to 5'10.
My uncle was 5' and is now 6'. It happened after he was out of college.. You never know you may grow more, but you'll have to stay healthy.

How old are you? If you do more exercises, it might help you grow taller if you're teenage. Exercises like playing basketball, jumping rope, running stuff like that will help. My siste ris even taller than me now since she has been doing a lot of sports.(she is only 13 and I'm 5'7" tall.)

Depends on how old are you. If your body has stopped growing it would be hard to make yourself grow taller. I have a friend who loves basketball but his body wasn't big enough to play seriously. What he did then is hung with his hands on to a poll for few minutes every day. Now his body (stomach) is longer, but legs are still short.

I think for guys this height is short but you can not increase your height. It is all in the genes. You can try out a few yoga lessons and excercises with the permission and guidance of some trainer. It might help you.

Hi Gamingworld,
The holy truth is one cannot extend his height by doing any exercises or taking healthy diets. It is already decided in the second, when we born in this world.
Its all depended upon genetics. we cannot do anything. It is based upon our father and mothers height.sometimes with our grandpa and grandmom's height too.
A human will grow upto his age 19. you are 16 now and you have the chances for growing still.
Height is not at all a problem for human being. take famous personalities like cricket player sachin tendulkar, Mr.Olympia contest bodybuilder Lee Priest, Football Legend Maradonna, etc., are lesser and equal to your height..
Instead worrying on thinking about the height, think of the ways to show your talents.
Have a nice time!

Hey dear before responding to your query i have checked your profile and you are only sweet sixteen. So there is no cause to worry. You will definitely grow a few inches till you reach your 20's.If your parents are taller then there is no second opinion about your growth. All you have to do is to eat balanced diet with calcium and proteins and you will be going great.
Happy mylotting.

There is nothing that can magically make you taller, if your taking care of yourself, eating right and getting plenty of rest and exercise then your doing everything you can.
Being that your 16, you still have a few more years of growinig and alot of boys hit growth spurts late, and still growing when they are 20. Being your age and a shorter guy is probably rough because you always hear about how all the girls just love tall guys, but my husband is only 5'6 and he's just as much of a man as a 6'6 man is.
There's a little theory out there that if you take your height at the age of two and double it, it will give you and idea on about how tall your gonna be. My son was 36 inches tall at 2, so approx. he'll be 6 foot. There is also, many height predictors on the web that could also give you an idea if your gonna stay about the height you are, or if your gonna grow some... Check out searching Height Predictors. babycenter.com has one.

height has more to do with genetics but exercises also play a role in it. how tall are you parents? if they are both tall, you don't have to worry about it too much. maybe you just a late bloomer. If your parents are both short, you should exercise more and play sports with a lot of jumps, such as basketball. I think you don't have to worry about your height to much, you are just 16. It is said that one could grow tall until 25.

If your parent is short too, then you can not add your tall. I think it is caused from the genetic. But I have simple solution. Try to tense your body every morning and eat foods contain more calcium. Good luck.
