first impression counts

i got my first job three years ago.as i just graduated from university at that time, my performance in work was not so mature,i mean,i was talkative and not so prudent.i didn't notice how my colleagues think of me. maybe what i did made them think that they can't trust me if they arrange me some work.i was very sad and tried to change my character.but it is hard to change their views on me. so first impression really counts. how do you think about that?

Ask someone close to you at work if its really the first impression that stopping your colleague to assign you a job. From there try to make extra effort how you can change their perception on you.

I agree that the first impression is really important for people, and I am a kind of a person who would see people from teh first impression. I think people would need something to assess when they don't know people they're dealing with so even thought the first impression is not necessarily right, but it has big score in people assessment.
