Yes because for me . There is no place than my home country Philippines for me to retire . And most of my relative is living here. In retirement better to be with relatives .

Yes . I would retire here in the Philippines because here in the Philippines we have a strong family relationship. And retiring the Philippines is cheaper than abroad.

If i will be given a chance to move to another to country,i would surely be back for my retirement.there is a saying that "there is no place like home"Philippines is still best to settle for retirement.I was raise here in the Philippines and most probably the culture, friends and my family are here and its the main reason for me to be back home.

yes, i will still come back here and be buried near my relatives' tombs haha. and of course, there are a lot of benefits here than in other countries. like lower cost of living, near family and friends, slower pace of life (especially in the provinces), there's nothing that beats the hospitality of the Filipinos and there's no place like home =)

When I retire, I would like to live half the year in the Philippines and half the year in Canada. I would like to be in both places to scape the harsh winters of the Great White North. I want to spend time in the Philippines because my family is over there. My life and my source of income and all the other entitlements maybe in Canada but the Philippines is where I was born so to me it is still my home. Home is where the heart is :-)

given the chance to move abroad i would love to settle in Japan. yes there are many other countries that i love to go to but i really love Japan so much, the culture, different places, the cuisine, and the most of all because of the Anime genre that is originally from Japan.
i plan on retiring when i am on my 70's, usually people prefer to retire at their 60's.
will i go back here in the Philippines? absolutely "yes", i grew up here and i was raised through the Filipino values and tradition.

Hello mattwilkie! Hopefully this year, I could go out of the country to join my husband. My husband and I planned to come back here after we retire and buy some properties here. We want to come back here because we love the country and we love the people. My husband is in love here but he loves me more..heheh..

I love being here in the Philippines because I can freely move and live as I want it to be, but if some circumstances prevailed to live outside my country, I would love to move back here for retirement because this is where I feel total freedom and being myself. As one ages, we become sensitive and if foreigners began to mock me there, goodness I might thrown into prison, so better settle here for good.

Lots of Filipinos did that and many are following suit. I will do the same too.
For one, the climate here is ideal for old folks. Sometimes it's hot, sometimes its cold but we never experience heatwave nor snow.
Financial reason is another. You may have saved enough for retirement but if you live on those countries that offer high-paying jobs, you will also spend more for people to take care of you when you get old. Here in the Philippines, you can enjoy life sans the high expenses.
I know there are other reasons but I think topping them all is the tender, loving, care of Filipino family, relatives, friends and neighbors. Here, if you got sick, you have your family to look after you. You can also expect neighbors, relatives and old friends dropping by to see how you are doing. If you want to celebrate, your community is just a text away. And when you truly retire, you know that they will take care of you down to your grave (in Filipino, 'Aalagan ka hanggang sa iyong huling hantungan).

Of course If I be given an oppurtunity moving abroad, I will see to it that I will be back to the Philippines. Our country is the best place for me, this where my friends and family live. I want to be with them when I got old.
We are a Filipino, and I'm very proud to be one.
