I liked Adventures in Babysitting, The Last Unicorn, The Boy Who Could Fly, Dirty Dancing, The Goonies, Flashdance (yes... my mom let us watch this), and Weird Science. I'm sure there are more, but these are the ones that we watched over and over again.

National Velvet (Elizabeth Tayler 12 years old and Mickey Rooney), Lassie Come Home, all the Shirley Temple movies, all the Judy Garland and Mickey Roonie Films, all the musicals, Esther Williams movies. Almost forgot the films of Roy Rogers, Gene Autry, The Cisco Kid, Hopalong Cassidy, Lash Larue, The Lone Rangerand Red Ryder. Gosh there were so many it's impossible for me to say which I liked best. Kids today don't know what they are missing.....there was no blood and gore in those days and no explosions...no special effects....no raunchy vocabulary....it was juat music, romance and shoot em up cowboys.

Thank you for your comments. I've seen some of the movies you mentioned. I tend to agree about the movies today. I even think that 80's horror films were scarier because they aren't as high tech and gorey as today. More was left to the imagination, and the imagination can be a scary thing. :)

My favorite movie was All Dogs Go To Heaven for many years; I just liked the characters. When I was very young I remember loving The Lion King, 101 Dalmatians, and Pocahontas. By the time I actually got to visit Jamestown, unfortunately, Pocahontas wasn't my favorite movie anymore!

I watched a whole lot of sci-fi as a kid, because my parents were sci-fi fans, and they took us along to see stuff like Star Wars and Star Trek. No wonder I grew up to be a geek! :)
I also really loved The Last Unicorn, The Princess Bride, The Neverending Story, and other fantasy type movies.

My favorite was Babes in Toyland by Disney...Love Mary's dresses and it was a nice surprise that when I got the DVD I actually still remember the songs! After that there's also the Last Unicorn. There was a video rental in a mall near home who had a LASERDISC of the Last Unicorn and whenever we were there or at least whenever it was available, I would rent it no matter how many times! Must've drove Mom crazy! But then again she knows I love horses :)

Surprisingly, the only movies I remembered watching during my growing up years were the James Bond 007 movies.
"For Your Eyes Only", "A View To A Kill", "The Living Daylights", "Octopussy", "Live and Let Die", "The Spy Who Loved Me", "From Russia With Love", "You Only Live Twice".
And I remember I actually liked them. My favourite was Pierce Brosnan, followed closely by Timothy Dalton. And my childhood ambition was to grow up to be a Bond girl.

I never watched these til I was a teenager... and a TV channel had a Bond Marathon.
It would be cool to be a Bond girl.

As a child, I had not many chances to watch movie. My parents are not movie goers, so we never go to the cinemas. But I remembered at one time my father brought home a projector with Cinderella animated slides. Our family gathered in the living room and my father played the projector. I really love Cinderella (the walt disney cartoon). Until now it is still my favorite animation movie.

Oh my gosh, I had millions of movies that I loved as a child. It is hard to narrow it down to my favourites, but I was a Disney fanatic. I also loved the cartoon character Asterix and I had all of his films... I think my favourite was probably Fantasia. I liked the music. x
