Hello Friends,
We are all living in the internet world and we do use some kind of modem or another. I would like to ask you if you use wireless modems or not and how much do you pay for it?
I used a wired modem till today but I just now went to my ISP and asked them for upgrading my modem to a Wi-fi one, so that I can get mobility in my home with my laptop. Also, they would charge me an extra Rs. 25 per month, which is perfectly acceptable. What about you people?

still using a wired modem here, however, i do run the connection to a wireless router, and then out to various computers, xbox's, and what not.
i haven't personally used any of these "wifi" modems, i'm assuming your talking about a usb or pc card style device that you plug into your laptop.
both connection "methods" have their weaknesses and strengths, either way you go, make sure you take measures to protect yourself. i would suggest a good firewall (if you're running windows xp or better you've already got one) as well as a solid anti-virus (AVG, Avast, Bit Defender, etc). and you should be fairly well protected unless you're really hittin' some bad websites.

Yes friend, I am talking about the wifi modems.
I am already using Windows Vista Home Premium and Avast so I would assume I am pretty safe there. Thanks for your response. Waiting for some more responses but going by these two responses, yours seems to be the better one :)
