I've read the Bible all the way through about 7 times. I read my Bible every night before I go to bed. Right now, I'm focusing on the New Testament, but I'll definitely do another complete read sometime soon.

There have been a couple of times I will admit I have read the whole Bible thru. Our church I attend has a BREAD program and even gives out awards to people who have read the Bible thru in a whole Year. BREAD stands for Bible Reading Enriches Any Day. I can say I have read the whole bible thru at least 2 times, but my husband was able to read the whole Bible thru last yr. and is going to shoot for this yr. as well if he can.

I did it once. I started from Genesis to Revelation. But I don't think it's the best way to read the Bible. Nowadays, there are lots of devotional books that will help you cover the whole Bible by reading a chapter or more each day for a year. The good thing with these books, aside from letting you read the whole Bible, they help you grow spiritually and develop a devotion habit. A pastor friend also suggested that you can read the Bible by its component books. Genesis to Revelations are not compiled chronologically (except for the historical books in the Old Testaments) or in a particular theme so you can read them in no particular order.

Several times! With the exception of skipping over some of the long lists of names (I confess, I confess! But there are whole chapters full of names!)
I just finished the last chapter of Revelation, and am starting over again at Genesis for about the 7th time. I usually read anywhere from 2 to 6 chapters a day. I think it is good for me spiritually, and even though I may not always fully comprehend what I am reading, many times I would end up in a situation, and suddenly those verses that I'd read over and over and never understood would make sense! So read your bible every day, even if you don't understand it all!

I have read the whole bible three times and still continuing. Our head pastor have read for I think 31 times. Just read the bible 5 chapters a day and you will complete reading it in a year. Start in the new testament, specifically the book John so that you can know what salvation really is. Then, finished the gospel part (Matthew, Mark and Luke) so that your foundation in the word will be established. After that, finished the whole testament. Read the book of ACTS, you can finish reading it in just two hours if you're really hungry to God.
Read Joshua 1:8.

I've only made it all the way through once. However, I've read the New Testament numerous times. It's good to understand the history in the Old Testament, but I study the New far more since that's the covenant we need to live by.
Isn't it amazing how no matter how often you read the same parts of the Bible, you can always find things you didn't remember or didn't pick up on before?

I have read it through several times. I read daily, and when I finish one version, I start on another. This year I am using the Simple To Read Translation.
