When was the last time you woke up to no electricity ?

This morning I woke up at 3.45 am to find out there was no electricity. I bathed, shaved, brushed my teeth, used the toilet, made coffee and dressed to leave home by 5.50 am with only a single candle lit in a saucer to show me my way. Have you ever done this ? When was the last time something like this happened to you ?

About a week ago, my power went out and that was pretty bad, because its really cold here where i'm living right now, and since i have electric heating, my heat went out too, and the power was out for nearly 3 days. Needless to say even though I was able to get around and do what I needed to do (bathe, eat, etc), but it was so cold in my house, my sister (who was visiting from out of town) and I had to wear 2 layers of clothing and burn alot of candles and cover up with heavy blankets to stay warm. Didn't help much, because I still ended up catching a cold because of it.
Lemme tell yuh, losing heat inna di winter is NOT fun
