For those pizza lovers going to Palawan, Philippines..Coron to be specific..never ever leave the place without having tried eating @ Bistro where they serve fantastic pizza at a very affordable price. It's not just enormous in size with great unique flavors but yes, the price is also more than right =) It's not very hard to find. It's a five to ten minute walk from Seadive resort and you could just ask the locals there and they're all familiar with it =D *sigh* I miss the food and place.

Hello lalapuff, i am planning to visit puerto princessa city. but visit only ppc, because my intermediate books showed me coron is near to culion, and according to the book this culion is "a place of no return". what do you think? regards, asiong.

hi asiong.. i think i have heard of culiong before from one of my traveler friends and don't remember her mentioning something like that before since she's also a travel buff and researches well about places. although when we went to coron, i also don't remeber if any of the coron islands that we hopped by were anywhere near culion. you see, coron itself is a big group of islands so chances of getting lost in that "place of no return" is very low. come visit it and have fun! moreover, i haven't heard of anyone going to coron and having problems with culion. in fact, i am (and my friends too who went there already) planning to go back there because there's just this one island that's so lovely. and i also plan to go to puerto princessa and el nido and the rest of palawan! traveling is just so invigorating and breathtaking =) cheers! thanks =)

Hello Lalapuff,
Greetings, mabuhay. I have now the real picture of this beautiful island of coron and culion. Culion was used previously as a quarantine island during the American and Japanese regime. I mean during those dark times from 1900 to japanese era, they collected all lepers in the country and sent them into this culion island. But today, we are living in a modern times, but again prevention is better than cure.
Please see this link to know more about the island:

I've been to practically everywhere in the Philippines except Palawan, Batanes, and the far south (Sulu, Tawi-Tawi). But I heard a lot of good things about Coron. Palawan will surely be one of my destinations in the near future. I will definitely check Bistro out to look for the mystic pizza! Cheers!

hey champ..omigod i also love to go to Batanes..i mean they've got rich history, too aside from the good views..yeah coron is the new boracay in terms of being the place to be though there's no nightlife there really except camping and/or bonfires if you'll do something like that lol. as i said in my previous comment i would definitely go there again. hope bistro's still there when i do and still cook the same old one of a kind pizza that we all loved. and i also hope that i'm getting something for promoting bistro? haha..cheers ;)

when you go island hopping, i'm just not sure if every boat trip offers this kind of package but, they'll serve you with a fantabulous lunch consisting of crab, grilled tilapia, eggplant salad (i think it's ensalada if u know this) and of course, the best mangoes..ahh..served with coke, by the perfect shore in front of crystal clear waters? i remember myself to be the last one left sitting and munching on crabs =)

i'll take note of this! i plan to visit palawan this year and have been wondering what food they offer. unlike Boracay where you could find over the internet ideas on where to eat, there's not much info about palawan.
thanks for posting.

yeah..my friends and I also don't have the slightest idea of it not until we went back to that resort for dinner..'coz we're like on this group tour and I only realized our itinerary the moment I woke up from the ferry (yes we tried that super ferry) and not to mention yet if there's any must-go-to restaurants around. coron is just so great. i think the waters' better than Boracay.
