I love my steak rare. I had the best steak of life at a steakhouse in New York a couple of years ago. My dad and I both ordered the fillet mignon rare and when it came out we couldn't believe our eyes. It looked very well done. But when we cut into it...well....yum! The knife just sliced through into beautiful juicy red meat that melted in my mouth.
It was perfect, almost crisp on the outside and red and juicy in the middle.
My mouth is watering just thinking about it!!

I like my steak well done. You can't be too sure how they prepare your meat so I wouldn't want to have bacteria in my food. Plus, I don't like the taste of blood in my food, I'm just not used to it I guess.
I'm wondering how people could eat something rare, well I could eat sashimi, but I don't think I could stomach rare meat.
Whew..
Well, to each his/her own (preferences).
I like my steak with side veggies and lots of gravy and rice (we're used to eating rice and I'd feel satisfied with rice rather than with mashed potatoes).

I like to have my steak medium rare, brown and crisp at the edges. I usually have it with salad like lettuce or boiled broccoli and carrots.

I like my steak medium rare with a slab of stilton cheese on top. I think its a heart attack waiting to happen - especially with chips and mayo too but once in a while you gotta have a bit of indulgence. and I always take a healthy salad at the side so i am being sensible too lol

i'm a medium rare person. the texture of a well prepared steak cooked medium rare has a good ratio of cooked to semi-rare meat to suit my tastes. the meat is also not overly tough and creates a nice slice (when the steak is nicely marbled, you can clearly see the marbling when you slice it, very nice).

Hello Cristine0421, i like my steak well done. There's nothing like a freshly cooked well done steak, crispy, tender and delicious.
I wanted my steak not bloody on the inside or rare. I want to eat it together with garlic bread or with pasta.
I do also wanted to have a garden salad to go along with it, served in ranch dressing, yummy!

I like my the doner the better. LOL No pink, no blood, no nothing. I like it with baked potato and butter and a roll with cinnamon butter. I like to snack on peanuts in the shell before they bring the salad if I'm ordering it at a restaurant. If I'm having it home I like it cooked outside on the grill.
Yum! now I'm hungry for a good steak. Too bad the buget doesn't call for eating out or buying steak to prepare at home.

Whenever I eat steak, I loveeeee to eat it well done. But when i say well done, i mean really WELL done. So well done, that the edges of the steak are kind of burnt and crispy. I love the tasted of cripsy, burnt-ish steak.
And I agree with you on the mashed potatoes ! That's the best thing to have with steak. Well actually I love potatoes so much I'll eat them any way they re cooked.
