I became 15 in 1970, and 24 in '79, so the '70s were the age of my youth and young manhood. I lived it up with all the passion of someone who had been too young to appreciate the 1960s. Originally into Hard Rock and Progressive, by about 1973 I was ready for a massive change: Firstly Glam was my passion, but also Soul music, Philly soul, Stevie Wonder, the first stirrings of Disco, and then it was Punk and New Wave, but still also Soul until finally in 1979, I became a Mod revivalist but only very briefly, because '80s electro was just around the corner. I thoroughly enjoyed my '70s...loved it all, the music, the fashions, the parties, the discos...I continued partying until 1993, when my health started suffering. Finally I became a born again Christian, and all those crazy days are just a memory for me now. I had a fabulous time, but I wouldn't go back, no, not for anything. I've earned my middle age. Carl

Think yourself lucky that you were not around in the 70's. looking back on it makes me cringe in horror when I see the clothes were used to wear, mind you the some of the music, was and still is good.

I was born in 1969 so I had my childhood in the 1970s and have fond memories of that time. I especially love TV from the 1970s like Doctor Who, Grange Hill, Man About The House, Are You Being Served?, Pipkins, Crown Court, Rainbow and much more. In music, Blondie and Abba were my favourites and I liked The Brotherhood of Man too.
