My son's class is having their Valentine's Party today at the end of the school day since they will be out of school for a teacher in service on Friday. He made up his Valentines last night. He is excited. He has only been at this new school less than a week and he has made so many new friends already. Do your kids have Valentines parties at school? Did they make or but their Valentines?

My kids do have Valentine's Day parties at school and it makes me laugh. They can't have Christmas parties, Halloween parties, or even Easter break. But they can have Valentine's Day parties. The kids around here have Fall party in place of Halloween, they still dress up and eat candy at school they just call it something different. Around Christmas they have winter or snow parties with gift exchange, but we can't offend other religions by calling a "Christmas Party." And we get to the spring, we have Spring Break, 10 years ago when I was in grade school it was Easter Vacation. Now with the schools trying so hard to not offend people, families and religions they have the nerve to still celebrate Valentine's Day. That seems rediculious to me.
We buy the valentines, two grade school students in city schools. Way too many kids to make them.

We bought our daughters. It would be hard for her to make 22 Valentines. She was one of only a few who put her name and the name of her classmates on each one. I was really surprised.

My kids are having thier party tomorrow, and we haven't made out the invitations yet. I'll have to do that tonight when they get home, along with getting them fed and back to school by 7pm for a gym show, then back home for a shower and bed.
Phew, I'm already exhausted!

Heyya lilybug! My kids do have Valentines day parties at school. We usually buy the valentines and make the snacks at home. This year I'm sending big heart shaped cookies on the end of a lollipop stick for them to give out. They are really cute. I have let my little one use construction paper to make her own though because she's very creative and I love to see what she comes up with.lol She likes it to provided we have enough time before the party.
