Stimulus Bill Congress to vote Sight unseen

It seems that nobody know what is in the Stimulus Bill because as Speaker Pelosi reportedly said that the Republicans probably would not vote for it so they have no need to read the bill. This is very similar to reports that she told Freshman Democrat Rep. that they either vote her way or they will never get a good committee appointment. She also threatened to withhold funds for their reelection. This is true bipartiship and democracy in action.

Nancy Pelosi is more of a tyrant than anyone I know. She has definately gone power mad. She always has been alittle 'my way or the highway" but now that they have they house, senate and the presidency....well Pelosi seems to think she is the one who rules the world. She is causing more problems than she is solving. She also is the one of the main reasons their won't be a bipartisan anything in this congress. She is a bully. If she keeps threatening people within her own party, sooner or later they will turn on her. Here's to hoping it is sooner than later.

I agree...I saw the rumblings of trouble between those two before he was sworn in. I knew then it would be a war to see who was in really in control. It looks like so far Obama is loosing.

It's truely a nightmare, this whole Pelosi Stimulus Bill. The American people are starting to get fed up with the whole thing. And with Obama scaring the heck out of the American people talking like we will slip into a never ending depression without it, we are only sinking faster. But they will pass whatever they want without caring what the American people think, because they think they know best and they have the power to do so. So much for hope for this country, and at the rate Obama is going if he keeps on the track he's on, I would hope the Amerian people will wake up and get rid of him in the next coming election along with all the other power tripping idiots controling the fate of the American people. People wanted Change they got it, but it's change for the worse at this point. Who really is sitting down and reading that bill anyways... it's so long I would think it would take at least a three days straight just to read it and try to understand it. I seriously doubt Obama will even read it from cover to cover... just sign away and then when it doesn't work go back and borrow more money for a new plan that most likly still won't work. I think we would be better off doing nothing rather than leaving our country in the hands of Pelosi and her little alies.

Hello Bobmnu,
Queen Pelosi is totally out of control. My state sent all newly elected, green, freshmen in November. Which means that making constituent calls to them has been rather like dukin' it out with a cinder block.
The queen bee seems to have no concept of how far she can push the American People. I thought that Fox did a great job of disclosing that both junior and senior rep's had no idea what was in the bill. They interviewed quite a few who went 'doe eyed in the headlights' while on camera. How better to tell the American People that their elected representatives are collecting a paycheck without doing their jobs! Grrrrrr!!!

It was reported over the weekend that some Democrats were complaining that they did not have time to read the bill before voting on it. With the Financial Crisis looming before us and the bill must be passed today before it is too late to avert disaster, President Obama takes a long weekend and leaves the bill on his desk and will sign it this week. He is probably waiting for all the reporters to be back from the Presidents Day Long Weekend.
I hope the voters remember this in the next election.

Here's a little follow up:
I called every one of my state's rep's again this morning to find out what the daily 'tally' of citizen callers is indicating, and to put my rep's on notice that they will be held accountable for passing a bill without having read its contents! Suffice it to say, my calls weren't well received. Our rep's don't much like hearing from livid constituents. And hey, there's always time to affect change until the moment of the vote!!!

If President Obama wants to draw a comparison between himself and Lincoln he needs to read up on his History. Just like the Kennedy Assassination there were several conspiracy theories concerning the Lincoln Assassination. There was a movie on TV when I was in High School that pointed out that when Lincoln was assassinated there was an attack on the Sect of State but due to a body cast the person who tried to stab him could not do it,

The Sect of War, upon hearing of the assination of Lincoln took charge of the government and John Wilks Booth was tried before a military court. The Doctor who treated Booth was also tried and convicted by a military court.
President Obama should remember that there are two people who want his job and one is 2 heart beats away and the other is 4 heart beats away. He should remember that the House (lead by Spk Pelosi) can impeach the President and /or Vice President. There is more than one way to removed a president. Would she do it? It has the makings of a great political suspence novel.
