Slow modem boosting speed

I am experiencing a very slow modem boosting speed. When i start surfing the net, my internet speed is very fantastic, err... i mean very fast, but somehoe, after i using for some time, i found out that my internet boosting speed is starting to decrease, and finally, i only get a few hundreds kilobytes per seconds speed. How come this could happen? i start to asking my self. I download many internet speed boosting software but yet the effect is not visible. I try out my internet connection speed with the other network connection, then i found out that it was not my computer or the internet speed problem. I suspect that the problem occuring should be the modem. So, i want to ask opinion from you on how to optimizer my modem speed.

What is the modem speed
.Is it a 56 k modem.Even though if you put booster in the computer.speed will increase from ten to fifteen percent not more than that.Did you speak to the connection provider about the speed problem.There is no modem problem.If there was a problem the light would not come on.

Actually i am using the HSPDA 3.6MBps modem, at first when i use, my speed is constant at 2.0 MBps or more faster. However, two weeks ago, it seems like my speed decreased dramatically. Now, i only can reach about 385 kbps only. Any idea on what is happening for my connection?
