How You Apreciate Batik?

Batik is one of the precious heritage from Indonesia. It is very unique in terms of the pattern, the making process, the history of batik, and the culture of the batik. As young teenager I proud of Batik. I proud to wear batik in my campus and tell friends (they are foreigner) about batik. They said batik from Indonesia is different with batik from Malaysia. Our batik is more comfortable, may be it is because we use cotton or silk to make a good batik textures and pattern. One of my lecturer from Cambodia wears batik Indonesia in his office. It is a rule for lecturers to wears batik (my university is in malaysia). He does not want to wear bright color as we can see in batik Malaysia, so he wears batik Indonesia. I like to see Indonesian guy wears batik. The image will be different and I think batik make you look handsome and pretty. I love Batik Yogyakarta and Pekalongan because of the pattern and the color. I usually wear batik skirt with white or light brown t-shirt to go to campus and wear the Kebaya in formal moments like wedding party. How about you? Do you wear batik in special moment?
