I was twelve years old when we have a subject in school about cooking. I was taught dishes and how to prepare it. It was my very first time to join a cooking competition.
I was with my teacher when i competed with other schools for cooking. Even though we did not win the competition, at least the experience that it gave me was super cool and i never imagined that i will be able to fry since i am so afraid of cooking oil splash and burning food.
It was a lifetime experience that i still remember the recipe entry i did for that competition. It was a clam soup with shredded coconut, corn kernels and shrimp.

Around nine or ten, I made a batch of peanut butter cookies. They turned out to be so hard you can't bite it. My father jokingly stack them together then slammed the cookies with another piece. He told me it was his slammer, since the game of pogs were so popular in those days!

I was around nine or ten, and my sister and I wanted to bake some bread because we just saw how to do it on some PBS kid's show. We had all the ingrediants except yeast, so we decided to use salt as a substitution. It came out "looking" like real bread, but the taste was . . . well . . . not at all like real bread. hehe

I was around twelve. My sister was only a couple of years younger than me. We both were trying to cook pancakes. We didnt know that you aren't suppose to use high heat when cooking them on a skillet. We ended up burning them. LOL!

I think I was 7 or 8, and I was with my brother who was a year older than me, We were both up earlier than my mom, and were both hungry, but didn't want to wake mom up, so we decided to cook our own breakfast. I took our families microwave egg cooker and cooked myself an egg in it, it came out rubbery and hard and ucky, but I ate it anyway, My brother Nathan however, took a bowl, one egg, and a cup of suger (yes, a full cup) and mixed it in the bowl and cooked it in the microwave... It looked good... I wanted one. He made me one but I couldn't finish it lorl it was too sweet :)
